My journey on the camino to Santiago de Compostela
Day 37: A Rúa – Monte do Gozo – The Yellow Arrow
https://theyellowarrow.wordpress.com/2014/07/12/day-37-a-rua-monte-do-gozo
My journey on the camino to Santiago de Compostela. July 12, 2014. Day 37: A Rúa Monte do Gozo. Walking distance: 16 kilometres. We had a very late start.but that wasn’t a problem, since we had planned to walk only 16 kilometres to Monte do Gozo the mountain of happiness. It’s called mountain of happiness because you can see Santiago from there. The destination of so many pilgrims is only 4 kilometres away from there. Andy trying to look cool during lunch. Monte do Gozo statue. Day 38: Santiago, Santiago!
Day 36: Ponte de Rivadiso – A Rúa – The Yellow Arrow

My journey on the camino to Santiago de Compostela. July 11, 2014. Day 36: Ponte de Rivadiso A Rúa. Walking distance: 28 kilometres. I have had another long day of talking to Jens while walking. Now that I was walking for 5 weeks, my body had gotten used to walking for a long time, so these 28 kilometres really seemed like a piece of cake. However, me and the guys, we treated ourselves with a hotel at the end of the day. We could already smell Santiago. Very very close! Day 37: A Rúa Monte do Gozo →.
Day 38: Santiago, Santiago! – The Yellow Arrow
https://theyellowarrow.wordpress.com/2014/07/13/day-38-santiago-santiago
My journey on the camino to Santiago de Compostela. July 13, 2014. Day 38: Santiago, Santiago! Walking distance: 4 kilometres. I started walking the last 4 kilometres to the cathedral of Santiago on my own very early in the morning. I had dreamed of walking it with the sunrise. Ironically, it was raining cats and dogs. But I didn’t mind. I was happy. Spotting the cathedral for the first time. Just before the cathedral I ran into Felice and her mum. I had met those two lovely Dutch women on my very fi...

Day 40-45: Camino to Finisterre – The Yellow Arrow
https://theyellowarrow.wordpress.com/2014/07/20/day-40-45-camino-to-finisterre
My journey on the camino to Santiago de Compostela. July 20, 2014. Day 40-45: Camino to Finisterre. Looking back: leaving Santiago and its beautiful cathedral behind. And on a lighter note:. The village was actually called “Fornos”. Naughty pilgrims. Naughty, naughty, naughty! First view on the ocean. Day 45 was the day! Where have all my emotions gone? Or am I maybe that balanced and non-judgemental that there are no ups and downs anymore? The end. No kilometres left to walk. Last camino sign. Imagine&#...

The Yellow Arrow – My journey on the camino to Santiago de Compostela
My journey on the camino to Santiago de Compostela. January 3, 2015. July 22, 2014. The camino starts after the camino. In Finisterre my physical camino ended. But people say: The real camino starts after the camino. I had no idea how true that was. Well, first I didn’t get into university. I had given up my job as a self-employed English and guitar teacher to get a proper degree in education. I was very certain (and arrogant! That I would get in ( who else, if not me? On top of that, the same week I rec...
The Yellow Aura | How/why things happen, and how to make things happen.
How/why things happen, and how to make things happen. January 5, 2011. We don’t eat or read or think or even listen to music like in ancient times. Music has dramatically evoloved from folk – prehistoric- music to large scale symphonies. But we still practice religion like in ancient times worshiping multiple deities with different names. How much do you know about religion? How do you compare with the average American? Here’s your chance to find out. From Why Is Religion Natural? January 4, 2011. We rat...

This website has been created to document the restoration of AEC Reliance CDK172L - once part of the fleet of the well known independent coach operator Yelloway Motor Services of Rochdale. Purchased as a relatively complete and mobile vehicle, many years of service and lack of maintenance had left the coach in a very tired condition with both the body and mechanicals requiring some extensive attention. Web site has been designed and maintained by the third member of our team - our very patient dad!
