Last weekend saw a group of us once again heading over to Ridgecrest for our annual Club Quilt retreat. and again, we all had a wonderful time with lots of sewing and catching up. Fortunately our 'must eat every two hours' rule kept us all from passing out due to creative fatigue. :). The first thing on my list of projects was a couple of 'simply gorgeous shoes' bags from the book 'Some kind of Wonderful' by Anni Downs. And take a look. They're such a clever bunch! I adapted it from another risotto recipe Mum had. 15 Litres (6 cups) chicken stock. 500g butternut or jap pumpkin cut into 2cm pieces. 1 tbsp olive oil. 2 smoked chorizo (340g), halved lengthways. 1 small brown onion, chopped finely. 1 clove garlic, crushed. 1 1/2 cups arborio rice. 1 tsp ground cumin. 1/2 cup (40g) finely grated parmesan cheese.
