Things i'm trying. Things i'm trying. I’ve Tried/Re-Tried So Many Things Lately. I haven’t stopped trying things but I have been trying more to get a job and less thinking about things to try. Here is an update on recent things I’ve tried:. Invited me to try out Pho in participation of a ladies evening of sorts. It looked a lot like this. (I should have thought to take my own picture of it). These have been hosted in various parks around the city. Things I’ve seen:. And of Course Mixology:. I tried out a...

Tuesday, December 18, 2012. We tried out a Barbary party, for the first time (for me) in a long time. Good news? For a while they played a lot of good music. Bad news? They lost their good photobooth. It was seriously one of my favorite ones. Now they got this one that prints a dumb, grey, digital picture. Six. Of them. Very. I guess the other good news is that I probably will save a few bucks when I go to the Barbary once every two years. So I'm basically a millionaire. Saturday, December 15, 2012.

Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Me and these girls went to the beach (thanks Mom and Dad Brown) and did hot tubs and late late beaches, and early morning beaches with dolphins, played cards and made blender drinks, and saw a few wild ponies at Assateaque, and went to Seacrets (yikes) and, perhaps most importantly, got some olde timey photos taken on the boardwalk. It cost a million dollars and was (obv) totally worth it. We also got a whole bus of people to sing Happy Birthday to Kimmy. 28! Here comes the Groom.

Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Thanks, Meesh/Jumi/Dan for hosting Halloween and aren't Poseybooth. Friday, October 18, 2013. Guess what day it is? That means (same as last year, and the year before.) take a picture anywhere in Philadelphia, any time today, and send it in. Philadelphia Photo Arts Center will print it, and it will be in an exhibit up at Crane Arts (I think in November). This year. That's cool.). Tuesday, October 15, 2013. I'm at home today, waiting on Urban Outfitters worst business move (a de...
doggie eyes: snackMail
http://doggieeyes.blogspot.com/2014/05/snackmail.html
Thursday, May 22, 2014. Been a minute since I did a review, and maybe I've never actually done a straight side-by-side. Here we go. It's about getting delicious snacks in the mail! A little background. I listen to a lot of podcasts (or at least I did until I lost my iPod? And a lot of them are telling me to try out NatureBox. Then I heard a positive IRL review from a co-worker at the bar. So I decided to take My Brother, My Brother and Me up on their half-price starting offer, and try it out. Though, at ...

Monday, September 30, 2013. After some fairly relaxed, and non-urgent waiting, today I was emailed an official PDF proving my expertise as a Library Media specialist. Basically this means that John Dewey and I are professional BFF on several levels (education reform and. Getting certified in Library meant. Studying up on my RL Stine, Laura Ingalls, and Sideways Stories from Wayside School. Paying the state an amount of money. Showing up on time for a test. IOS 7 I did it, and it's as good as everyone said.

doggie eyes: feeling nutty in 2015
http://doggieeyes.blogspot.com/2015/04/feeling-nutty-in-2015.html
Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Feeling nutty in 2015. Recently, some friends and I were having a post happy hour drink (yeah) at our local tap room, and the topic of abandoned blogs turned up. Specifically: Kelly's THINGS I'M TRYING. And Josh's BALLARD COMMA BACHELOR. Neither blog has been updated in three years. Fueled by those remembrances (and by a bet I made with the aforementioned pals who have also quit blogging), I'm going to try and put up one post a month. That's doable, yeah? April 20, 2015 at 12:15 PM.
doggie eyes: SEPTApocalypse
http://doggieeyes.blogspot.com/2014/05/septapocalypse.html
Wednesday, May 21, 2014. I take the train most days, either to and from school or to and from the brewery. So, like, a lot of SEPTA time. Most days, unless I'm real wrapped up in a podcast or something, I end up thinking apocalyptic thoughts. Not at all like "oh man, I wish the world was ending" and not even scurred, like Melancholia is right around the corner - different. I guess I'm a little crazy. This mainly happens on the Orange line. Anyone else? May 29, 2014 at 3:43 PM. Here comes the Groom. Fun i...

Tuesday, December 31, 2013. I love living in Philadelphia on the first day of a new year. When we first moved here (as fresh faced babies), in 2004, I didn't know what I was getting into. Not as far as Philly. I had an idea of what that was), but more in regards to New Years. Fast forward: If you follow me on Instagram (also "doggieeyes" over there, if you're not) you've either watched or not watched some of my New Years Day round-ups. Around 2010, I started "believing" in the Mummers in earnest. I like ...
doggie eyes: tag-along
http://doggieeyes.blogspot.com/2014/04/tag-along.html
Wednesday, April 23, 2014. I'm not exactly a person who's hip to the most cutting edge street art, but I do. Notice it when it's straight staring me in the face in South Philly. This is my new* favorite tag (tagger? Dracula". I think it's so funny and good, in all it's variations. This one, right outside the house, is also good. I like the fangs, I like the bite marks, I like the top hat, I like the cursive-y, fancy, font. Is there an easy way to send a love (okay, appreciation) note to a tagger?

Things I'm Reading - Page 1 of 101
We read to know that we are not alone. Reblogged from Bisous, baby. Http:/ e-ndorphins.tumblr.com/post/71963695107/this-year. Highlight, underline, dog-ear, read, re-read, absolutely consume every book that interests you. Rewrite the strings of words that affect you in a journal. Refer back to them whenever you need a pick-me-up. Wear nice underwear on even the most mundane of days. Look at yourself in the mirror and…. My favorite words ever strung together in a novel passage:. Posted 1 year ago.

The Battle Is Already Won!
Monday, February 25, 2008. WHAT DID YOU SAY? These were the Illegal Prime Minister Mahedra Chaudary's words to the Indian Government about Fiji and the Indigenous Fijians:. 8220;The average Indian in Fiji is struggling. Currently we have an administration who is friendly to the Indian populace and will provide them protection. However the indigenous population is very hostile and violence is inevitable. No one can trust the chiefs but to ensure the survival of the Indians, we need all the help. Ratu Sair...
