Autumn of Ginny: Tuesday Movie Day Revisited
http://autumnofginny.blogspot.com/2015/02/tuesday-movie-day-revisited.html
Living the good life. Monday, February 9, 2015. Tuesday Movie Day Revisited. A friend asked if I still did Tuesday Movie Day. No, I replied. Every day can be Tuesday Movie Day now- right from my own family room couch. That's good and bad. Not likely. I was also informed by Amazon that I had access to their Amazon Flicks, since I became an Amazon Prime customer for the free shipping. There's also Public Television. What would we do without our British imports? I dont' want to add up the price of all these...

Autumn of Ginny: September 2013
http://autumnofginny.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Living the good life. Sunday, September 1, 2013. Our waiter ambled over and asked what we felt like eating. To start, I've got clams, calamari, nice big salad, etc." The recitation went on for a while. We exchanged glances. "No menus? He knew what we were thinking and then proceeded to rattle off the lunch entrees in the same fashion. "I've got veal any way you want, chicken rollatini, eggplant and hot peppers, linguini, tortellini, fresh ravioli, some nice pork .". No, no spaghetti! As we left our waite...

Autumn of Ginny: March 2015
http://autumnofginny.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Living the good life. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. You may point to the chirping of birds in your backyard, the emergence of a brownish-green lawn or the budding of forsythia as sure signs of spring, but for me it's the arrival of my Girl Scout cookie order. I'm a traditionalist and stick to the two best cookies: Thin Mints and Samoas. When I got my order, I immediately examined the "nutrition" information on the box and confirmed that whey had been removed. Yippee - my first vegan cookie! The taste test was...

Autumn of Ginny: May 2015
http://autumnofginny.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Living the good life. Thursday, May 28, 2015. We spent the week before Memorial Day visiting Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard and loving it- even though it was sweatshirt weather. I had never been to either place, so that's one more item checked off my non-existent bucket list. Growing up every summer on the Jersey shore has special memories for me and these easily translate whenever I see an ocean view. Is this guy famous? Gingerbread houses in Oak Bluffs. Of course, we had to view the fateful Chappaquidd...

Autumn of Ginny: April 2015
http://autumnofginny.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Living the good life. Friday, April 24, 2015. Just back from a relaxing, enjoyable week in the Heartland, visiting son Eric at IU. Great meals, fun entertainment, sightseeing and re-exploring the college life with afternoon naps included! We did everything from a student Soul Revue to the museums and sights of Indianapolis and Bloomington and an afternoon in Nashville (alas, Indiana, not Tennessee! Ride in a bus around the world famous track. Really? There's a speed demon hidden in all of us! His wife, C...

Autumn of Ginny: October 2013
http://autumnofginny.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Living the good life. Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Forget LA, good-bye New York. The Midwest is rising in popularity, according to my recent experiences (admittedly narrow). No longer a fly-over region, the MW is the new hot destination. I submit as evidence the following:. INDIANA: Number one on the list because my son Eric is spending his first semester as a graduate student at Indiana University. His initial assessment: did we know that Bloomington is the nexus of the Midwest universe? My eldest broth...

Autumn of Ginny: She Loves Me
http://autumnofginny.blogspot.com/2015/03/she-loves-me.html
Living the good life. Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Our family ventured into the world of community theatre on Saturday night, supporting my talented brother Peter. Yes, he was only in the ensemble, but the review by OnStage critic Kathleen Mosel was effusive and even included this tip of the hat:. The ensemble, made up from Rachel Strazza, Ann Alford, Barbara Stolarik, Peter Haynes. Not bad for a newby whose last role was as Joseph in the kindergarten nativity play in Schenectady, NY! Part of the cast.

Autumn of Ginny: November 2013
http://autumnofginny.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Living the good life. Friday, November 15, 2013. Did Mr. Wright Get It Wrong? Don't misunderstand me - I love Frank Lloyd Wright, the father of American architecture, the creative genius who championed an "organic" style, blending his Prairie School houses into their surroundings, melding the inside and the outside, using clean horizontal lines and beautiful art glass windows, with even the furniture matching the home's design elements. I've read the best selling Loving Frank. Take care of themselves.

Autumn of Ginny: February 2015
http://autumnofginny.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Living the good life. Sunday, February 22, 2015. I've been sedentary for so long that I decided this past week to begin taking a daily walk- -and not just to the mailbox! My timing may have been a bit off, since we had zero temperatures most days. It made for an interesting perspective on the world, as I trudged along in a burka-like getup, my eyes peering out from a double wrap of scarves. Silly as it sounds, I felt quite accomplished this week and energized with my modest walk and peaceful time just br...
