The Light House: July 2014

Friday, July 25, 2014. Just Over The Bridge. This was Hunter's favorite sculpture.I'm pretty sure its because it was the only one that was his favorite color red. Just one of the many quotes we read along our walk. As it turns out, in real life these kind of wobbly bridges are pretty intimidating to walk across.and here I was thinking all of those actors who were too scared to go across these in movies were just a bunch of wimps. A daddy/son sculpture that reminded me of Alex and Hunter. The Madagascar F...

For the past 7 days we have jam packed as many memories as we possibly could, taking advantage of our time together, as who knows when the next time will be when we can do it again (here's hoping its not another 25 years! A lot of time was spent just hanging out at the pond. Lots of swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, game playing, camp-fire story-telling/song-singing, art lessons, jam sessions, charades, bonding. We also went on a few excursions as well:.

Sunday, November 9, 2014. This Is Where It All Began. So begins the Sports Illustrated article dated June 27, 2030 documenting the career of Hunter "The Bubs" Light, who scored the winning goal that brought home the Stanley Cup for the Detroit Red Wings, ending a 22-year dry spell from championships for the franchise. With 10 minutes left in the class he finally had enough of sitting in cold, wet pants .this is him shouting for me from the ice "Mommy, I need new pants".epic fail on our part today!

Tuesday, March 24, 2015. A Day Off for Charity. Today was the 98.5 Sports Hub 8th Annual Cuts for a Cause charitable event and it was finally held on a day when we could attend it. The Light Trio decided to make a day out of it, and even though the event didn't start until 4:30 we all skipped school and work and headed into Boston shortly after breakfast. Hunter thought it was so cool he got to stand up while the train was moving. Who knew the ninja turtle Rafael vacationed at the Children's museum?
