Nathan officially picked the worst marathon ever. Record highs in the low nineties. Over 40,000 runners originally enrolled. About 10,000 runners decided not to run before the race began. Another 11,000 didn't finish the race. Over 300 were treated for dehydration and heat exhaustion. About 50 people were hospitalized. One 35-year-old man died.
