Since my childhood shots weren’t anything I concerned myself with at the time, I didn’t really anticipate facing this issue until the faraway future when I have children of my own (although I do already dread the difficulty of those choices). Thursday, July 14, 2011. Jumping up to present time for a rare post, I'm a week into program 2 in Amman, Jordan. Here I'm only taking one legal course, since I just finished 6 credits in Jerusalem-. Our courses are being held at the Columbia University Middle East Research Center, which is truly a stunning facility! Because this is the first year of the Amman program (which I just learned), we had some important visitors this week- the deans of Seton Hall and an inspector from the American Bar Association.

Thursday, June 30, 2011. After leaving Masada we went to Ein Gedi, an oasis and nature reserve near the Dead Sea. It was just some hiking and lovely scenery, as well as the chance to see two local animals, the ibex (mountain goat) and Hyrax. a strange little groundhog-esque creature that our guide termed "rock rabbits".
