The first known patent to utilise energy from ocean waves dates back to 1799 and was filed in Paris by Girard and his son. In Syria, one of the traditional Middle Eastern construction keeps cool with out electric hungry HVAC systems. These "beehive" homes are located along the Aleppo and Euphrates Rivers.
