For some reason I was thinking that until my book list was caught up I couldn't write anything else. Which, I'm sorry, it just pure silliness. I am the author of this blog for heaven's sake. Monday, January 27, 2014. Several years ago in the Priesthood Session of Conference, Elder John M Madsen gave remarks entitled "A 12-Year-Old Deacon". In his address, he spoke of a cast bronze sculpture entitled "Deacon's Bench", which is the likeness of five deacons caught in a candid moment while seated on a bench at church. It was one of those nights that I have to label as a "tender mercy" as my heart was so full and the spirit was so strong as it bore a convincing witness that God lives and loves us.

Sweet and Spicy Cucumber Slices. Peeled, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced. 2 tsp kosher salt. 1/2 c rice vinegar, seasoned or regular. 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes. 2 Tbs minced red onion. I’ve even made this with Splenda and they turned out great! Be served immediately, but for best results refrigerate until well chilled.

Corina's Italian Slow Cooker Chicken. 3 cans Cream of Chicken Soup. 1 can Chicken Broth. 1 envelope dry Italian Dressing mix (like Good Seasons). 1 8 oz cream cheese. Place chicken breasts in crockpot. Stir together 4 cans soup and envelope dressing mix. Pour over chicken in crock pot. Add cream cheese and cook another hour. Stir to break up chicken.
