These are some of the thoughts and ponderings of Tim Manson - an ICT-enabled Geography teacher from Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Sunday, March 25, 2007. I am a film maker! I have put the first Launch film onto YouTube - you can see it on this page. I must admit that I am pretty proud that the video was featured on the Northern Ireland MPH web site and the picture that I took was used in some of the publicity for the campaign as well. Ps - More details about the competition can be found on my web site.

Thinking geographically!: Some questions . . . . . .
http://thinkgeography.blogspot.com/2008/08/some-questions.html
These are some of the thoughts and ponderings of Tim Manson - an ICT-enabled Geography teacher from Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Tuesday, August 05, 2008. Some questions . . . . . . Geography questions - from the site! Why was the weather so weird during the summer? Why are some countries (like Australia) having massive droughts? Why are some countries so dry that forest fires are destroying huge areas of land (like Greece)? Why are fish stocks in Peru being killed by changing sea temperatures? Further t...

Thinking geographically!: September 2006

These are some of the thoughts and ponderings of Tim Manson - an ICT-enabled Geography teacher from Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Thursday, September 28, 2006. Changing Information to Imagination! For a while now I have been thinking how weird it is that we talk about ICT as Information and Communication Technology. What is the profile that they leave on the web? And, dont even get me started about text messaging! The fact that they are communicating and networking socially is good - but is it enough?

Though I will probably move all the content back to www.thinkgeography.org.uk once I have removed all the old pages. Frop me a line and let me know what you think of the new stuff - it looks much the same but I will get it moved over first before I start to tinker with the design aspects. Posted by T Manson. Thinking geographically!: Geography is not important anymore
http://thinkgeography.blogspot.com/2008/08/geography-is-not-important-anymore.html
These are some of the thoughts and ponderings of Tim Manson - an ICT-enabled Geography teacher from Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Tuesday, August 05, 2008. Geography is not important anymore. Over the summer I was reading that fewer people now take A levels and GCSE exams in Geography than ever before. Shock! Cities that are expanding? Farming catastrophes and Foot and Mouth disease? Ice caps that are melting? These are the things of Geography. The news is filled with Geography from start to finish...

Thinking geographically!
http://thinkgeography.blogspot.com/2008/08/environmentally-friendly-this-week-some.html
These are some of the thoughts and ponderings of Tim Manson - an ICT-enabled Geography teacher from Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Tuesday, August 05, 2008. This week some plans were announced to put a tidal barrage across the Severn estuary from Wales to England. This would help to create 'green energy' - ie we would not have to burn fossil fuels and would generate about 5% of ALL of the energy needs for the whole of the UK. Wow! Or you can look at the for and against arguments. Tuesday 25th September 2007.

These are some of the thoughts and ponderings of Tim Manson - an ICT-enabled Geography teacher from Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Tuesday, August 05, 2008. Is Global Warming caused by us? For me, that is the big question and I am not quite sure that the proof is quite there yet. I came across this quote as I have been reading Barack Obama's book - The Audacity of Hope. Posted by T Manson. Geography is not important anymore. The education system has gone from about 15 A Level subjects and options to about ...
