I found out through facebook so I doubt either of them know this, but it lead to a realisation about my place in step-parent land. My first reaction was, oh my gosh, I need to find a new hairdresser! For the rest of our lives I am going to forgive you over and over again for things you do, and you will have to forgive me over and over again too, so while forgiving you is important, it isn’t really the point.
