Thursday, March 15, 2012. Second grade does a wonderful unit on birds every Spring. It includes a field trip to the World Bird Sanctuary as well as a research poster and culminates in dressing up as your bird and doing a "museum" consisting of a 30 second presentation to parents and other classes at CCS. Sam chose the Atlantic Puffin as his bird. It is in the arctic bird family! Ask him about his bird and he can tell you a myriad of interesting facts! Here is his research poster:. This morning while dropping off the girls at school, I had, what I thought, was an interesting short conversation with a lady. Since there are sooo many more vehicles dropping off kids in the morning, the school started having parent volunteers help out in the morning during the drop-off time. Saturday, February 22, 2014. Our Crazy Winter Roof. On Feb 18th Jim had to go up on our crazy icy. Roof because we were getting water in our bedroom. As you can see the ice and snow were very thick.
