June 5, 2015. I’m sitting in the Italian airport terminal, on a metal seat, listening to music and reminiscing. As I look over the last seventeen days, I cannot control this feeling of loss. This trip has given me so much, and while I am completely exhausted, I cannot think of it as over. I waited for Damaris to go through security (shocking, right? Once she arrived we made our way through with a few others. It was happening! The trip had begun, and we were already giggling along, enjoying ourselves.
