Spare Winter Hours: December 2007
http://sparewinterhours.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Two Canadian Students Studying in Ljubljana. Allergic to . . . Laško? The other night we went for drinks with friends, and ended up in a bar to keep out of the cold. I ordered a Laško and sat back in my chair to enjoy my drink. Minutes later, my face became red and swollen, which was immediately noticed by everyone. I had to reassure them I wasn't going to fall unconscious or anything. I thought, my bloody English-Scottish genes are really kicking in. I'm a red-faced drunk. Wonderful. Links to this post.

Two Canadian Students Studying in Ljubljana. More questions from a foreigner. I'm looking to send some documents quickly to Ottawa. If these documents get lost, I'm completely screwed. As much as I love the Slovenian Posta, I have a somewhat shaky confidence in it. So far one letter has gone missing in transit and one got ripped open before delivery. I just looked at the price of express posting an envelope from Canada and it was $90, which made my heart stop beating. Links to this post. Yes I am indeed ...

Spare Winter Hours: August 2007
http://sparewinterhours.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Two Canadian Students Studying in Ljubljana. It's been awfully quiet around here. I'm currently visiting friends and family and counting down the days until my flight back to Slovenia. I am very excited. I have some Slovenia-related stories wanting to come out and say hello. Maybe over the weekend? Links to this post. As well. I'm aware of Stripburger. And I just bumped into Tonci Zonjic's blog. So obviously there's much more out there. I wouldn't really count the Smurfs. I'm still on the lookout for any...

Two Canadian Students Studying in Ljubljana. Autumn in Ljubljana: A Short Photo Essay. On the way to Tivoli Park. Having a post-walk coffee. Note the specks of mud on my boots. After finishing my school projects I decided to award myself with a lengthy stroll in Tivoli Park. Links to this post. Did I mention that autumn is my favourite season? And all through summer I hide in my house, silently praying for fall to sweep in and save me from the sun's lashing rays? Links to this post. Of course, I'm unable...

Spare Winter Hours: The Tito-Canada Connection
http://sparewinterhours.blogspot.com/2008/05/tito-canada-connection.html
Two Canadian Students Studying in Ljubljana. Just in time for the big day, I thought I'd post some pictures I found on Titoville. A few weeks ago. It would seem that a certain young man had a forged Canadian passport in the name of Spiridon Mekas, as a British subject of Yugoslav origin. When he wasn't masquerading as the Canadian Spiridon, the young man was better known by his other name, Josip Broz. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Republic of Slovenia.
