This Pitti Palace is the largest museum in Florence. It was residence of a banker, Luca Pitti from 1458. The Medici family bought this palace in 1549. The weather was perfect in Assisi! We went to Assisi from Florence for one day trip. It took about 2 hours by train. After visiting the Basilica of San Francesco, we just strolled in the town. We went to Assisi, the birthplace of Saint Francis. This Gothic styled Basilica di San Francesco is situated on a hill. It has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2000. We went to the Museum of Modern Art in Palazzo Pitti. I took pictures of view from window again like in the Uffizi Gallery. It’s more beautiful than paintings in the museum. Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain. Is 30 years old! I liked paper lights by Issey Miyake in the garden. They were moving like accordions. So cute!

Thursday, April 17, 2008. Time to close down! Really. When a blog becomes a public announcement area for people (usually for ranting, no less), that's when it's time to close it down. Got no more time for this anyway. I can still be contacted via the usual means. In any case, my life isn't exactly too interesting right now (I think). We went to Siena for one day. It took about 2 hours and half by train from Florence. At first, we visited Siena Cathedral. They offered a white cover-up to cover my shoulder. OMG! It’s perfect for my dress. I felt like an angel. lol. It’s such a cute name! We went to MAMbo, Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna. They offered cold pasta, salad, cous cous… It seems like every stylish Bolognese come to have aperitif at MAMbo. The weather was perfect in Assisi!
