Monday, May 4, 2009. The Job Hunt Continues. Why is it so difficult to find a job in San Antonio? And, if I hear the words "You're overqualified" one more time I think I'll scream. I have to admit that being at home has it's advantages until it's time to pay bills then it becomes a pain in the tushie. I hope things pick up soon. Let's face it, you can only dust the furniture so many times a day before you begin to wear off the finish. That should be good for a few hours of clean-up excitement.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Things May Be Looking Up. I finally was able to secure a face-to-face interview with a local company. Will wonders never cease? I was beginning to think that I'd never get past the horrific "phone screen" process! I suppose 25 years of practical on-the-job experience and numerous accolades from large clients counts for nothing when you're up against the 20 somethings who have that shiny new diploma in their hands and are just starting out in the workplace. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Well, we're back from our European vacation. It was certainly lots of fun but it's taking forever to get used to the "time shift". My poor husband had to go back to work immediately but I'm lucky enough to be able to stay at home and sleep. I anticipate he'll "hit a wall" soon and I don't want to be around when that happens!
