Both boys are approximately the same height (50th percentile). Both of their heads are about the same size (15th percentile). We are planning to start rice cereal around the 5 month mark (that's very soon! We'll be starting homemade baby food just before the 6 month mark. It is called the "sea of orange" and it is a very peaceful place. Mom, in Texas in the summer, it ...

kowalski cafe: The scoop on the Two-Year-Olds
http://kowalskicafe.blogspot.com/2012/03/scoop-on-two-year-olds.html
Wednesday, March 28, 2012. The scoop on the Two-Year-Olds. The boys turned two early February. We had to push their 2 year Doctor visit back almost 2 months because they were that far behind with their last vaccine. When they were supposed to get their last vaccine, they were sick so we had to push that back, hence the late appointment, now. Most importantly, I'm happy to have two healthy boys! Here's an update probably mostly for family members who want the scoop:. Nolan's speech. While Carter can h...

http://kowalskicafe.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 25, 2011. We do have a fence around our pool. It is. Beautiful. It is safe. It is $1200 safe. Thank you to our children for increasing our tax return only to turn around and spend much of it on their safety. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. Carter gets it (for now while there is a fence up). I just pushed his and Nolan's big booties in a stroller for 45 mintues and played a mean game of handball. Also, I'm trying to teach a lesson here people! Unretrievable my son. Sorry. Links to this post. Sullivan ...

Two zhukeepers, keeping our zoo. Unsolicited Breastfeeding Advice for New Moms, Part I. WARNING: Males and squeamish non-males might want to skip this one completely.🙂. Since I have several pregnant friends now, and have been talking a lot about breastfeeding with, um, like everyone, I just wanted to take a minute to share our story. In a lot of ways, we are a great success story (still breastfeeding strong and loving it at 9 months! I guess we’ll have an easy time breastfeeding! By the next morning, he...

*The Handcrafted Life*: Our Family Room Vision and More Demolition
http://thehandcraftedlife.blogspot.com/2012/03/our-family-room-vision-and-more.html
DIY and Decor Projects. Friday, March 30, 2012. Our Family Room Vision and More Demolition. You might have noticed in the pictures I've shown so far that our new house is a little dated. And rather ugly. But we're slowly making some progress, in the two and a half weeks we've owned it! And here is a quick mock up I threw together over the same photo, to illustrate what it will eventually look like. One big open and flowing room! Yep, that post and railing were doing nothing for the look of the room, and ...

Crazy is the New Normal: April 2013
http://carterstephen.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Crazy is the New Normal. Monday, April 15, 2013. So, needless to say, I know that I was more than excited to make this trip! We were up pretty early and enjoyed a breakfast of blueberry pancakes, potatoes, and sausage. The rest of the day we spent shopping the square and we both took a nice nap in the afternoon. After a steak dinner, we went to the drive-in theater that was just down the street from our B&B. I was stupid giddy about that, and it was really cool! Koi pond in the cute garden area. Here in ...

Crazy is the New Normal: November 2013
http://carterstephen.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Crazy is the New Normal. Friday, November 29, 2013. Poor girl just laid in her stroller most of the day, which was probably good that her little body got so much rest! First Fletchers of the day! Brycen on this horse that you could ride. Carter taking a turn. At Big Tex circle. He begged for ice cream. We took a break and let him play on these giant bouncy things while we enjoyed the Kildares concert. The blimp flew over. Headed for the Midway! He loved these airplanes! Even when they went up into the air.
