Memory Is All We Have: March 2008
http://memoryisallwehave.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 28, 2008. Wednesday, March 05, 2008. My new personal site. Oh - and comments now enabled on memory (for you, Rob). Sunday, March 02, 2008. I finally updated: http:/ theomahaproject.blogspot.com/. I don't know why, but getting out there and working on the project has just been so difficult for me. Maybe it's because it's a bit of a depressing project. like someone looking out a window afraid of the truth the world has to offer them. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My friend Zach's Blog.

Memory Is All We Have: June 2008
http://memoryisallwehave.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2008. Do work, son! I'm finally getting around to not being a sissy and submitting my work to magazines and galleries. This package is going to The Sun Magazine, which has already rejected me once before, years ago. Maybe this time they'll accept a photo or two. or maybe not. What matters is that I try. I always tell my students that nothing ever happens unless you try - unless you push yourself and take some risks. so now it's my turn. Sunday, June 29, 2008. Monday, June 23, 2008. Here ...

Memory Is All We Have: July 2008
http://memoryisallwehave.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Tuesday, July 22, 2008. This sign is not true. Sadly. Sunday, July 06, 2008. With all the bad weather we have been having, we had to re-schedule these shots several times. This time the weather held up, the morning of the 4th of July, and my wife and I were able to get together with this aspiring model for portfolio shots. Saturation Infatuation: January 2011
http://dennisthiel.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 17, 2011. After several hours fighting with CS5, here's a similar series of bracketed photos, churned through the built in HDR. Pro I still have a lot to figure out, and I need to pick up the pace (this is very time intensive). But even from just doing three of these, I think the result is already noticeably better. So here's the result of my first meddling with HDR. This top one looks much less natural to me, but of course, that's not a required attribute of HDR. Tuesday, January 11, 2011.

Saturation Infatuation: November 2008
http://dennisthiel.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Cranking out some more portrait work. These are from a combination of Peru and the Dominican Republic. If I don't label each photo, I'll try to get back here soon to do so. New batch is ready. Here's a few from Colorado and Peru. Not sure why they're mixed into the same post. Probably because I'm lazy. Monday, November 17, 2008. A little more. Go ahead, it's good for the soul. Chi town. I was interviewing there on Halloween. Not a bad place to see the crazies. We ate beans and...

Saturation Infatuation: NYC in the fall
http://dennisthiel.blogspot.com/2012/01/nyc-in-fall.html
Thursday, January 19, 2012. NYC in the fall. All of these were taken in Central Park this last fall. A very pleasant November indeed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bronx, NY, United States. Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellow in NYC. I've been a serious amateur photog since 2006. Like many others, I enjoy taking photos more than I enjoy working with them. That is, until I see what the finished shot looks like. Then I would have to admit I like that even more than taking the shot. View my complete profile.

Memory Is All We Have: February 2008
http://memoryisallwehave.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 24, 2008. Saturday, February 23, 2008. Tuesday, February 12, 2008. I think I’m finally starting to believe. While I’m not really fond of putting too much political talk on this blog, I can’t help but be impressed by Obama and an honest opportunity for change in this country. Obama has them riveted. So maybe there is something more to this election than one man. Maybe Obama has the message and the chance to bring in the rest of the population into the mix. Zinn is fond of seeing history t...

Memory Is All We Have: August 2008
http://memoryisallwehave.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 30, 2008. The first game of the season. New coach. New players. The raw energy on the field before the kickoff was something you could almost touch and feel - as the players believed in the dream of winning this first game against the number 10 team in state. The players fought all night - and they were close to scoring several times, moving the ball downfield in what just might be some foreshadowing of success to come. Beyond all this, you could feel a different attitude on the sideline...

Memory Is All We Have: January 2009
http://memoryisallwehave.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 02, 2009. And like that bully on the playground,. When you finally take a stand. And call him out when you've had enough. And really have nothing left to lose,. You know it can go 1 of 2 ways. He will either back down and leave or. Stay and fight. But you've come too far. To back down. And you realize,. The choice he makes is insignificant,. Just like him. This moment. Is about you and the choices. You make, not about his voice,. The one rattling around. Stole His story doesn't define you.
