Sunday, July 27, 2014. 3 Highlights from the last week of Summer. 1- To Do List Accomplishments. My sister Malisa, shared this quote on Facebook and I really liked it: "Instead of saying 'I don't have time' try saying 'It's not a priority,' and see how that feels. Often, that's a perfectly adequate explanation." I am going to start saying that when I don't do something. This summer I let some things go because they weren't a priority and that is ok:). Sunday, August 30, 2015. A Week of Exhaustion. This last week has been long and tiring. The week ahead is going to be long and tiring. I see a pattern forming. I drove home today from Mesa and was thoroughly exhausted an hour from Flagstaff. We reached home and I went straight to bed and slept for 5 hours. I had to force myself to get up at 4 something so that I can sleep tonight. It's 8:30 pm now and I am so tired. I'm going to finish this blog and go to sleep. Here are the highlights from this week:.

Rose Garden Lane: January 2015

Sunday, January 25, 2015. While we were visiting my family last week, someone shared this poem about prayer at church and I loved it! If radio’s slim fingers can pluck a melody from night and toss it across a continent or sea,. If petalled white notes of a violin are thrown across a mountain or a city’s din,. If songs like crimson roses are drawn from thin blue air, .Then why? 8212;why do mortals wonder if God can hear prayer? By Ethel Romig Fuller. Links to this post. Hey, you guys! We did some antiquin...

Sunday, February 22, 2015. I am not a morning person. It takes me at least an hour to be fully awake and functional. This is how I usually feel when I wake up:. I have decided that I want to be happy when I wake up. I want to become a morning person. The way I'm going to do that is by faking it until one day I am a morning person:. To help me in my desire to wake up cheery, I have chosen the Good Morning. Song from the movie Singin' in the Rain as my wake up music on my alarm:. Links to this post. This i...

Rose Garden Lane: June 2014
http://myrosegardenlane.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 29, 2014. There was a June? I can't believe that I missed June. Where did it go? Maybe it went camping. Ian went camping recently to Boy Scout Camp. He had some moments of homesickness, but also a ton of fun! He learned some funny skits, cut his finger with a pocket knife, made Daniel a green leather belt, earned a badge for first aid, found a few craw dads, and strengthened friendships with his fellow scouts. Here he is returning home victorious:. That sound you hear is summer zipping by.

The light switches in both those rooms were broken and so we have been sitting in the dark light with only lamps to help us see. Now that they have been replaced, we have light! Sunday, August 24, 2014. Living the Glad Game:). I'm glad that Ian likes his coach and is having fun learning a new sport:). It snowed. Let me repeat that. This week it SNOWED! This August has been a colder August than usual. It feels more like fall then summer. Last night I even considered that maybe it is time to turn the heater on at night. I'm thinking we are in for a long winter. I'm glad that the yellow flowers are still around to cheer me up as I drive past them everyday:). It was a fun surprise&#...
