What's life without whimsy'. Decided to try to make a star this evening. Starting for Christmas very early this year! Had originally intended a 5-point star but it turned out better as a 6-point. It only took me about 2 hours max so I decided to share the pattern. Christmas Star - tree decoration. Make 12 diamond shapes as follows:. Cast on 10 sts. Row 1: K1, K2tog, K5, Inc K-wise into next st, K1 - 10 sts. Row 2: P1, Inc P-wise into next st, P5, P2tog, P1 - 10 sts. Repeat these two rows 3 more times.

It was drawn on an A4 sheet, but print it larger or smaller if you want to make it a different size. 2 Choose your felt colours and cut out all the pieces. 3 Sew the wing to the body. 4 Position the body, head feathers and tail feathers on one of the background pieces. What's life without whimsy'. Emily is going to a party on Monday for the little sister of one of her friends. And this morning I realised I'd no gift. And no little dresses left in my stash. All the dresses I have are age 2-4, and this little girl is only turning one. So out came the sewing machine and a good mix of fabrics. What's life without whimsy'. The shop I've been selling my doll dresses to has closed down - sniff! I have been considering selling the dresses myself online. But I didn't have a large enough doll, and 20 inch vintage plastic dolls can be very expensive. So I was over the moon to find this beauty at our local, annual garden fete for only €1! What's life without whimsy'. Almost No-Sew Christmas Garland. So finally here is the no-sew garland. Myself and Smem have been out and about every day this weekend so I've barely got to the computer. Red, green and white felt. Paper to make templates. First I made templates of 2 triangles, one bigger than the other. The large triangle is 6 inches wide at the top and 8.5 inches long. It's my first time spinning such a fluffy merino. The other roving I have is comparatively slippery and does not have as much loft as this wool. It looked like cotton candy on the distaff.
