Sunday, March 08, 2009. I've been looking for a new content management system for awhile now. I've finally found what I've been looking for in Tumblr. I had heard about Tumblr last year, but I ignored it because it was following the (dumb) trend of Flickr, in dropping the 'e' in the name. Yes, that's actually the reason I didn't want to know what it actually did. So please update your RSS feeds and bookmarks to: http:/ jessinhotpink.com. Posted by Jess Versteeg. Links to this post.

MS SQL Server and Those Pesky NULLs. So I’m working on a Rails application with a MS SQL. Server 2005 back-end. The application needs to access the Dynamics GP data stored on that server, and while I could have other tables (users, sessions, etc) stored separately in, say MySQL, I elected to keep them all together, at least for the time being. (I’ll detail the steps I used to get unixODBC. Installed and working on OpenBSD 4.2. In another post. In the meantime, this is the Rails wiki article. Met my needs...

This Old Colonial
A complete gut renovation of an 1860's colonial. Do it yourself and save. Friday, November 27, 2009. This was taken before we started working on the house. The pine was massive and took up too much space in our backyard and shaded my garden. Tuesday, November 3, 2009. We called the guy who removed our radiators to see if he would take down and haul away the garage, but the value of scrap metal has gone down so we had to pay him to take it down. It was the best $80 we spent. Monday, October 19, 2009.
