CUTRONE'S VAULT: New Here?
http://cutronevault.blogspot.com/2010/06/new-here.html
Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Given how long it's been since I've been on here, you probably already know the status of this blog. I had set it up to keep people updated through "The Crush", the formation of Southpaw Studios, and the works Mike and I have created under that banner since then. But with the creation of our Facebook page and website, this blog seems pretty obsolete, especially considering time constraints don't allow for opinion pieces and longer posts that I'd like to put up. This One's For You.

CUTRONE'S VAULT: November 2008
http://cutronevault.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 27, 2008. Friday, November 21, 2008. Back in the Saddle? Well, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things with my illustrations. Here's one I did tonight. It took. i dunno. an hour? It took as long as a Keb 'Mo CD to play in full, that I know for sure (and for the record, his music is a brilliant soundtrack to listen to while drawing women). Also here's a pic of my friend Aaron enjoying his recently purchased copy of The Crush. Back in the Saddle? I'm too lazy to look it up. All I...

CUTRONE'S VAULT: Me... I watch the Watchmen.
http://cutronevault.blogspot.com/2009/03/me-i-watch-watchmen.html
Monday, March 16, 2009. Me I watch the Watchmen. Lee's journal. March 16th. 2009. Just came from Watchmen. Not bad. Okay okay. I'm not doing the whole post in Rorschach prose, nor will I make this very long. If you're reading this, chances are you've seen it, as you're one of two people, and I KNOW one of you has seen it. Who am I to say Alan Moore is an anti-American prick, who bashes a large portion of his audience who then lick his boots and tell him how great he is? Gambit's eye's aren't black? He wa...

CUTRONE'S VAULT: FINALLY
http://cutronevault.blogspot.com/2009/07/finally.html
Sunday, July 12, 2009. So what could I possibly have been up to to make me not update this blog since March? Well, quite a lot has gone down since Mike and I have unleashed Southpaw Studios onto the masses. So that was a month right there. Thankfully, after about 1.5 months of working feverishly during my nights and weekends and officially earning my title as "workaholic", U.R.S. #1 wrapped yesterday morning, and was sent to press! Issue #1 will hit around August 12th (give or take). Is Grief Weavers ava...

CUTRONE'S VAULT: Sight Beyond Sight
http://cutronevault.blogspot.com/2009/02/sight-beyond-sight.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. I've been itching to do something with Lion-O for a while. I ran through a few poses and eventually ended up with the old standard of "Sight Beyond Sight". Plus, it'll give me a chance to add some color later. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). GET YOUR COPY OF "UNDER RED SKY" ONLINE AT COMIXPRESS.COM. CUTRONE'S VAULT: January 2009
http://cutronevault.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 24, 2009. I bought a new toy today. Another weapon in my ongoing fight to make my work more professional, efficient, and to expand my skills. This time, I bought a Wacom tablet for coloring in Photoshop. It is, hands down, the best purchase I could've made right now. I still think it's pretty amateurish, but it's a start. Tuesday, January 13, 2009. However, there is one bright spot on this evening. Upon clearing off my desktop of needless clutter, I stumbled upon this lil guy. While in ...

CUTRONE'S VAULT: August 2009
http://cutronevault.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 30, 2009. And don't forget, yesterday URS #1 also hit the COMIXPRESS store, so check out the link on the side-bar and get yours if you haven't already! So, while I don't have any "Under Red Sky" related images for you, I will show you a painting I made during my "off" time. I'm never just lounging around over here at the NY end of SouthPaw Studios. No sir. Busy busy busy. Enjoy a this little slice of Brooklyn. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Check out SOUTHPAW STUDIOS on FACEBOOK!

CUTRONE'S VAULT: July 2008
http://cutronevault.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2008. I started with the short story. I took that short story and broke it up into panels and pages. I took that write-up and did thumbnail sketches of how each page should be laid out. I'm talking positioning of the characters, where the light should come from, where their eyes are looking, etc. Maybe this will also shed some light as to why my favorite Kevin Smith written moment was in "Chasing Amy", when Ben Affleck and Jason Lee are sitting at opposite drafting tables, never lookin...

CUTRONE'S VAULT: September 2009
http://cutronevault.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 5, 2009. Not That You Would Care. But the fluorescent lightbulb attached to my drafting table finally expired today. It started with a little flicker, then proceeded to turn itself on and off more rapidly. Interestingly enough, I found it more annoying at the beginning with the subtle flickers. I was actually able to ignore the flashes for a solid 30 minutes and kept on working before turning it off. So wait. Why the fuck am I blogging about a lightbulb? What did you do as a child?
