This Simple Home: Book List of 2015
http://www.thissimplehome.com/2015/01/book-list-of-2015.html
January 12, 2015. Book List of 2015. I've decided to keep track of all I read in 2015 in one blog post. The good news is I am finally keeping a list of books I want to read, too. I've gathered my to-read list for a while now from conversations, Facebook. Friends' blog posts, and even my pastor's sermons. For years, I've been collecting friends' recommendations on Pinterest. But I think this list will work more effectively. (What? Don't you use Pinterest for books? During 2015. Can I do it? By Matthew War...
This Simple Home: Applesauce Tips (with Kids)
http://www.thissimplehome.com/2014/02/applesauce-tips-with-kids.html
February 3, 2014. Applesauce Tips (with Kids). Ten years ago I thought homemade applesauce was a delicious treat when we visited Derek's grandparents. Then I made some for myself with a hand-cranked food mill. A couple of times. Next, my neighbor. I make applesauce one bushel of apples at a time. (I do this two or three times a year.). You might be like Derek's mom and grandma who prefer smaller batches.). Clean your counters and make a working area for yourself and your helpers. Gather your supplies.

June 26, 2013. Children's Construction Site {DIY}. Young children have a passion for big machines and dirt. Especially (though not exclusively) boys! Does your child stare in amazement each time you go by a construction site? Why not make his or her dreams come true by giving them a play area to use their own diggers and dump trucks? We made our children a child-sized construction site. All you need is some dirt (real dirt, not potting soil! And your child will feel like he is doing this:. For too long, ...

Water (in a spray bottle or eye dropper). We began by coloring our sturdy Viva Vantage paper towels with regular Crayola markers on a protected surface. Chose two or three colors that blend nicely. It's nice to leave a bit of white on the paper towel. Also consider coloring lightly, even with the side of the marker.

Little House Companion: An Announcement
http://www.littlehousecompanion.com/2015/06/an-announcement.html
June 3, 2015. Is a skill, but for some of us, it is also a passion. I've found. A way to continue to. Stay home with my children while teaching: presentations and workshops! Last year I taught two blogging classes in my local community. I loved teaching when I am passionate about the topic. Last summer I had the opportunity to teach at a local camp for just a day of science fun. They asked me to return for a week of science classes plus two pioneer days! I've created a website. For some, this may raise the question; what is the Auto Train? As the kids made themselves comfortable in the over sized seats, we be...
