This Wife Cooks: Ginger Crinkle Cookies

http://www.thiswifecooks.blogspot.com/2012/12/gingerdoodle-cookies.html

Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Image and recipe credit goes to: Lauren's Latest. These are exactly like the cookies my mom made when I was little. We ate them all during the year, but they made a LARGE appearance during the holidays, when she would double or triple the batch. I used to have a copy of it, somewhere, and it went missing - so when I came across this recipe, I just had to share it! 1/2 cup butter, softened. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Friday, January 16, 2015. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 3 teaspoons baking powder. 1/4 cup cold butter. 5 oz whole milk (or a 5.33 oz can evaporated milk). Preheat oven to 425. In bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; blend well. Using pastry blender or your fingers (I find this works better) work the butter into the flour until mixture is crumbly. Combine milk and egg and stir just until flour. Cut into 8 wedges, leave the wedges touching, as is. Shared By Sydney B. A time for everything.

Josh-Lex-McKay: Grantham Fam Fun

http://lexandjosh.blogspot.com/2010/11/grantham-fam-fun.html

Thursday, November 11, 2010. McKay was a tiger! He loved the costume, but every time I tried to paint his little nose black-he would tip his head back and open his mouth, so he could eat the lipstick! He has this funny smile now-where he scrunches up his nose and squits his eyes-it's pretty cute! Any time he sees the camera, he busts it out! Happy 25th Birthday Josh! I threw him a surprise party in Vegas-it was so good to get together with family and friends and PAR-TAY! Love ya Birthday Boy!

Wednesday, January 26, 2011. This little boy did not want to take a nap today! We tried two different times and after 30 minutes of him crying (the second time! I finally went in to get him. This is what I found haha. Somehow during his ridiculously huge tantrum/attempting to chew his way out of the crib (hence the still in place-ghetto blankets tied for protection), he had wiggled one of his arms out of his shirt! Wednesday, December 29, 2010. What a busy Holiday Season we've had! Somehow we were able to. Cram so much and we're so glad we did! This was just a cute daddy-son pic, I had to post it! We went up to see the Jazz play the Magic with some of my siblings! Can't go up to Salt Lake at Christmas time and not make a stop over to Temple Square to see the lights! McKay was VERY good helping Josh study for finals. Josh did such a great job on his finals and we are so glad they are finally over! Tools of the Trade.

http://lexandjosh.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 30, 2010. We took a weekend trip to San Francisco 2 weeks ago. And had a blast with my sister and her family! McKay's First Airplane Ride! I was all stocked up with candy, toys and books and this little boy did great! He even slept the entire flight home! Josh and I took a little cruise out to Alcatraz. I'll admit I was a little scared of being eaten by sharks on the way out to the island, but we survived! Little Yenna, next to him was having a great time too! My two favorite men! Readi...

Monday, May 18, 2009. So I'm not the most technological person in the world and can't for the life of my figure out why when I want to include some typing in the same post with a slideshow, the stupid slideshow NEVER loads so no one can see it! So here's my blog.three different posts so there are two different slide shows and one post explaining the slideshows! The fact that I am a week behind makes things even more confusing. Josh-Lex-McKay: January Fun

http://lexandjosh.blogspot.com/2011/01/january-fun.html

Monday, January 24, 2011. McKay is almost 1 year old! Currently some of his favorite things to do are: put things in his mouth, pull his sox off every chance he gets, throw his cup on the floor and play with Daddy! Last Monday Josh didn't have school so we decided to head up to Zions for the day. It was so nice outside and we had a great time walking around and playing on the grass. It's so beautiful up there! We also drove through the tunnel twice and McKay LOVED it-so that made it even more fun for us!

Josh-Lex-McKay: September 2010

http://lexandjosh.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Tuesday, September 28, 2010. McKay is almost 8 months now. He has 4 teeth and has just discovered how to pull himself up to stand AND CHEW on his crib. Lovely. We've gone a little ghetto with our blanket tied across the top rail of his crib-in an attempt to help save it from his sharp little teeth carving some serious gashes! Who can deny that cute face? Hence the RED birds on my wall. I made those one night when Josh was working. Sortof random right? We made a trip up to our cabin on Kolob with my paren...

A city and its buildings. Last weekend, I was in Chicago. It's a lovely city. Q has two observations:. 1 Corrupt and absolute leadership gets things done. (Downside: corrupt and absolute leadership has few checks on the. Of things it gets done, however.) This helps explain many of the nicer elements of the Loop and environs. (It also helps explain many of the seedier and downright immoral practices of the current government.). It doesn't fit. As a result, the building takes away from the surroundings...

How sweet is my cake gallery? Just a little about me. Where you can find me. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. My favorite way to Metemgee. I thought I would re-post this recipe as it is one of my favorites! This dish is a Guyanese staple and I first posted about it here. 1 tablespoon oil - I use coconut oil. well just because I like coconut oil. 1 medium sized onion - finely chopped. 3 cloves minced garlic - I don't mince my own garlic. Sharing Vegetarian and Vegan Recipes from my Northern VA Kitchen. August 13, 2015. August 13, 2015. I think I may have hit on a new family favorite! The original plan for this meal was to make my own spaghetti sauce but then lack of key ingredients (and zero desire to pack the kids up for a trip to the market during rush hour) sent me on the semi-homemade route with a good quality jarred spaghetti sauce. Quick and Easy Egg Salad. March 26, 2015. Everyone seems to have their own take on egg salad with pretty strong opinions on what makes a good one. This is the way I do it. This Wife's Life

Thursday, August 2, 2012. I have lived in this town my whole life, only a 2 or so hour trip from Seattle. Yet, I had never (to my knowledge) been there. On the weekend of July 21st, my husband, my dad and I took a trip there with my 2 year old daughter. This morning, as I was folding laundry, I realized just how much I have neglected my blog. So I decided that this would be the perfect topic to "revive" it. =). And I have to admit, I loved watching them chase the woman with the octopus. The morning of ou...

Since it has been a while since I posted anything, this is not a surprise to many of you, but I need to take a break from this blog and from posting. With school starting up and all the other activities with the family, something has got to give and this blog and much of my online communication is it. Enjoy your Fall and Good Luck to everyone in your choices! Please excuse the mess.
