Tom was born May 3, 1970 and grew up with a twin brother and a brother 3 years younger. He was born in Aspen, Colorado. Tom learned to ski when he was about 8 and absolutely loved it. He loved to race slalom recreationally, usually in Snowmass. In 1989 he attended the University of Southern Colorado for a year and then transferred to Colorado State University and graduated in 1996 with a bachelor degree in Business. This site is dedicated to the memory of Walter Thomas Osborn. He lived a very full life and died far too soon at the age of 32. He traveled all over the world and loved to hang out on the beach with a tall cold drink in his hand. We miss you Tom! Tom - Cracking open a cold one. About ALS

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a rare neuromuscular degenerative disease that is fatal. Tom's first words when told by the doctor that he indeed had ALS were, "Well, I guess when your number's up, your numbers up." He struggled quietly and with dignity. It was difficult for our family.ESPECIALLY for Tom. The degenerative effects had a devastating depressive affect. He lasted less than a year from his diagnosis.
