If scdidadm -C and devfsadm -C are not clearing the device. then you have two options. restart the service with -r for resetting the hardware. the other option update drv -f sd forces the scsi driver to rescan everything. First, a personal cloud setup will just give me some major nerd points. not many can say they have their own cloud setup. even among geeks and nerds. most just go to amazon or rackspace when they want to try something with the cloud. Third, learning inside of a cloud, my own personal cloud will give me more ability to randomly create and discard many different architecture motifs, want a gluster setup? A linux w...

Skip to main content. Slave to the grind. November 3, 2014 - 19:57. This one is really just a stupid bash trick. all it will do is display the current swap usage as a bar graph. and there is more formatting then there is calculation. X=`cat /proc/swaps egrep 'partition file' awk '{printf ( "scale=3;a=( %s/%s)*10);scale=0;a/1 n", $4, $3)}' bc`; i=0; j=0; echo -n ' '; while [ $i -lt 100 ]; do while [ $j -lt $x ]; do i=$[$i 1]; j=$[$j 1]; echo -n '='; done; i=$[$i 1]; echo -n ' '; done; echo ' '.

Skip to main content. Slave to the grind. Quickly restart all nova-compute nodes in a mirantis openstack cluster. November 3, 2014 - 16:34. Sometimes you need to run a command on ALL of a type of node in openstack, and if you have miantirs openstack you have a fuel server you can run these commands from. using this quick one liner for example will restart every nova-compute process on all up and active nodes.
