We are a class of Year 5 and 6 students from Thorndon School in central Wellington. Monday, November 27, 2006. Don't Forget to bring in stuff for the class basket. The subject is Kiwiana. This needs to be brought in by Thursday this week (30/11). We have swimming on thursday every week until the end of the year/ term. Don't Forget your togs NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER. Please bring in materials for our masks becuse we have started them and found out that we need more resources since we are so creative.

We are a class of Year 5 and 6 students from Thorndon School in central Wellington. Friday, October 27, 2006. Resource Request/ Swimming Day. From Week Five (the week after art week) we are going to be making masks based on a character from a myth or legend. We are using the corner of a small box for the base. We need to gather a number of resources so we can build up the base, over which we will paper mache. Egg cartons, Cardboard tubes, Wire, Milk Containers, Paper Plates. SWIMMING DAY - Thursday.

On Thursday we went to Capital E. We saw three amazing proformances. The first performance was called Sharon, keep ya hair on. The second was a Balianese puppet show called The spinning mountain. We have not focused on the use of poi. However, ever since I pulled the costumes out, the girls have been going crazy with their poi practice - before school, morning tea and. We are a class of Year 5 and 6 students from Thorndon School in central Wellington. Saturday, August 25, 2007. Stories, Inquiry and Swimming. This week Theresa has been reading us a story after lunch. Each day. So far we have read 'The Last Resort' by J.Patrick Lewis and Roberto Innocenti, 'My Uncle is a Hunkle' by Lauren Child, 'The Whisper' by Nick Butterworth, and 'Billy' by Kate De Goldi. They were all very different from each other. On Thursday, some children went to the Central Zone swimming sports.
