Thursday, September 24, 2009. It was an awesome day at Mt Cheeseman Ski Field on Saturday 5 September. The weather postponed the event three times so some of our team couldn't compeat. Their were 106 competitors. Thorrington's Ski team consisted of: Joseph O'Connor (Yr 6), Isabel Finn (Yr 6), Cameron Henderson (Yr 3) and Grace O'Connor (Yr 3). Well done to everyone that compeated! Joseph went to win the Cheeseman Club Champs on the 12 September, gaining trophies in boys under 12 Slalom and Giant Slalom.

Hat Day was a big success. We saw tons of AMAZING hats. Above you can see just a few wonderful hats! Thorrington School of Rock Top 3 in NZ. Our school band, "Thorrington School of Rock", recently came third in the Nickelodeon TV Nick Rocks competition. Paul Sparkes, a school parent, was also recently in the top 3 for the Qantas Film and Television Awards. Editing of the Close Up documentary on Thorrington School of Rock.
