Road to Recovery

Recovery, at least for us, is a life long journey. It is about learning about ourselves, our hopes, our beliefs, and desires. It is about living a life that makes us feel strong and proud. For so long we have been afraid to speak our minds. To have opinions was a terrifying thing, to actually share them with others was unheard of. When I was diagnosed as having Multiple Personality Disorder, everything said that it was at worst a terrible disease, and at best a wonderful coping mechanism.
