Documenting Our Family Life. Sunday, July 29, 2012. When Kids Don't Watch TV. It was so lovely! We even found tons of bamboo, and a little path through the bamboo, leading to a small stream. And in the middle of that bamboo was like a cool little hide-out! We saw open fields.two monarch butterflies chasing each other.and even Hassan and Kwabena were chasing each other, stretching their legs, climbing trees, and just being BOYS. It was a lovely sight to see. To hell with television! OUCH, may aching back!

Documenting Our Family Life. Wednesday, April 16, 2014. The Power of Pausing. We're always so rushed. Our minds our elsewhere. We hear our children laughing too loudly, playing too loudly. We're easily distracted with our phones in our hands, our heads bent down, scanning social media. All the while, we miss our surroundings. All the things that slip so easily from our grasp. I stopped and listened. And I later cried about how beautiful that moment was. Simply because I paused to listen. I've always had ...

Documenting Our Family Life. Wednesday, September 05, 2012. Kojo's Taking Steps and Saying "Mama"! It doesn't matter that he's baby #3. It's so exciting to see him taking baby steps and that he has started calling me "Mama"! A couple weeks ago he took 3 steps for me and Kwabena when we were hanging out in their room. Kwabena and me thought it was so exciting! Last night he actually took about 4 or 5 steps! Ohene being the good Big Brother and feeding Kojo. Cute little bumblebee rainboots! I love when I a...

Documenting Our Family Life. Saturday, December 22, 2012. It's nearly 1 am and I'm still up. Didn't I start a Healthy Sleep Initiative for myself? 1 Back on December first, Ohene got his first set of stitches in his left ear! He was climbing on the chair and tried to jump onto the un-sturdy red little table and split his earlobe open. I was getting ready to leave for my work Xmas party. Oh well- off to Patient First for a traumatic event of getting stitches! Lol (The things that come out of kids' mouths!

Documenting Our Family Life. Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Oh, wow.so I tried to login to Blogger while here at work, and they had BLOCKED it! I guess "online communities" are a no-no now.Anyhow, I think the loophole is logging in from the website versus going to Blogger.com. Anyhow. My little man is seriously walking now, like,. He still flops down on his butt, but OH MY, it's the cutest thing seeing him barreling over to me like a drunken little guy. So cute! Hmmlet's see what's going on with me:.

Documenting Our Family Life. Monday, October 15, 2012. We've become quite lazy on the weekends. Lately it seems like we not only have no where to go, but we also like to stay home. Maybe because fall is here and I feel more of a desire to stay in and be warm (although the 75 degree weather this weekend does NOT feel like fall). Plus, where are we to go? A lot of places cost a lot of money, like the zoo (parking is $25 alone! And who has all that money for that? Anyhow, the boys are growing up so quickly!
