Nikki's Notes: Book Review: the Prince Who was Just Himself by Silke Schnee
http://nikkis-notes.blogspot.com/2015/08/book-review-prince-who-was-just-himself.html
FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed. Monday, August 10, 2015. Book Review: the Prince Who was Just Himself by Silke Schnee. This sweet story about a child with Down's syndrome pulled at my heart strings. Everyone I know with a child with Down's Syndrome says what a blessing their child is, a blessing they would never wish away. I think this book does a great job showing how special these children are, even though they are a little different. I want to thank Plough Publishing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Nikki's Notes: Sarah Beth's "Catch of the Day"
http://nikkis-notes.blogspot.com/2015/08/sarah-beths-catch-of-day.html
FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed. Monday, August 3, 2015. Sarah Beth's "Catch of the Day". John took Sarah Beth out Saturday in their kayaks, and she caught this huge, beautiful red fish. They would have had a good time without catching anything, but this beauty was the icing on the cake, so to speak. When they got home, John cleaned the fish, then he fried it for supper. Yum! We hope they continue to go out and have fun - and bring home supper! Just look at that face; doesn't she look proud of herself! From An...

Nikki's Notes: Book Review: Refining Fire by Tracie Peterson
http://nikkis-notes.blogspot.com/2015/07/book-review-refining-fire-by-tracie.html
FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed. Friday, July 10, 2015. Book Review: Refining Fire by Tracie Peterson. You are probably thinking. Exactly! She's not mentioned on in the book summary at all, and yet over half of the book is about her. I felt like that was misleading and detracted from Militine and Thane's story. I did enjoy this book, but I have no desire to read any more in this series. I want to thank Bethany House. For my review copy of this book, but my opinions are my own. http://nikkis-notes.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed. Monday, November 24, 2014. Book Review: Adventure Bible God's Great Creation. Adventure Bible God's Great Creation. Tells the story from the creation of the universe up through Adam and Eve's sin and their being thrown out of the Garden of Eden. The illustrations by David Miles are colorful and interesting and should capture a child's attention. What about the toil with which Adam would have to till the ground in order to grow his food? What about Eve's pain in childbirth?

Nikki's Notes: April 2015
http://nikkis-notes.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Thankful Thursday: A New Ceiling Fan. This week, I'm thankful for:. God's provision in keeping John safe as he wrestled with the scaffold which was actually much harder (it seemed to me) than replacing the fan. A new fan that works! Cooler weather, not that it's been hot yet. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. A fun time last Thursday with friends at the museum. Bright, sunny days after so many cloudy ones. A quiet week at home. Links to this post.

Nikki's Notes: July Reading
http://nikkis-notes.blogspot.com/2015/07/july-reading.html
FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. I read more than usual this month. Being tired and not feeling well, it's been nice to "lose" myself in the pages of a book. Most of the books I read this month were good ones with one notable exception. I just couldn't put it down because I wanted to know what happened. Here are the books I read in July:. By Tracie Peterson. Two people with violent pasts come together, overcoming what was done to them. You can read my full review here. By WH Hudson...

Nikki's Notes: Thankful Thursday: Blessings Abound!
http://nikkis-notes.blogspot.com/2015/07/thankful-thursday-blessings-abound.html
FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Thankful Thursday: Blessings Abound! It's been a while since I've written a "Thankful Thursday" post, but I've been wanting to write this one. I've dropped a few hints over the past couple of weeks, but it's time to come clean, so to speak. We're expecting again! So here are some things for which I'm thankful this week:. Nausea, etc. as it points to a normally-progressing pregnancy. That I don't feel as bad as I did when I was pregnant with Mary. Is My ...
