Oil-free Hoisin Sauce Stir-fry -
http://www.thoughtfulforkfuls.com/oil-free-hoisin-sauce-stir-fry
Oil-free Hoisin Sauce Stir-fry. Simple, Quick and Easy. February 10, 2016 By Thoughtful Forkfuls. The sauce is hopefully reminiscent of Chinese hoisin sauce, except that it doesn’t come of a jar or contain e-numbers. If you don’t have plum vinegar, use rice vinegar and if you don’t have Chinese chives, use spring onions or coriander. There isn’t a substitute for miso here, they sell it in the supermarkets so add it your list! Oil-free Hoisin Sauce Stir-fry. 2 tbsp plain flour. 2 tsp corn flour. Place the...

Carrot, Spinach and Puy Lentil Soup. March 23, 2016 By Thoughtful Forkfuls. I can’t believe I’ve only got round to blogging this soup, as it’s definitely one of my favourite chunky broths. With spring bringing us giant leaves of seasonal spinach, I thought that I should get the recipe for this perfected and ready to post. This is vaguely based on a recipe. Carrot, Spinach and Puy Lentil Soup. 1 tbsp rapeseed oil. 100g onion (1 medium), chopped. 10g garlic (2 cloves), crushed. 2 tsp dried thyme. Add the t...

Spiced Pecan Energy Balls. March 10, 2016 By Thoughtful Forkfuls. Perfect for snacks, perfect for dessert, perfect for breakfast on the go. Plus, they will keep for several weeks in an airtight container in the fridge. Side note: these do work in a food processor (although they take a lot longer), but I’ve heard that it damages the blade in the long run so for the sake of your Magimix, you may wish not to. There’s your warning. Spiced Pecan Energy Balls. 25 tsp ground ginger. 2 tsp ground cinnamon.

Rice Salad With Coriander And Lime. Simple, Quick and Easy. April 18, 2015 By Thoughtful Forkfuls. This rice salad is the perfect accompaniment to so many dishes, especially curries and stews which are quite heavy. Because it is fresh and zingy with lime, spring onions and coriander, it contrasts with and lightens up hot, creamy and rich dishes wonderfully. It is also very quick and easy to prepare, and a great way to use up leftover rice. Rice Salad With Coriander And Lime. 1 lime, zest and juice. You c...
Lentil, Bean and Vegetable Chilli -

Lentil, Bean and Vegetable Chilli. February 19, 2016 By Thoughtful Forkfuls. Without wishing to be too disparaging about other vegan chilli’s, I often find that I’m disappointed when following certain recipes for this dish. I find that flavour is regularly lacking, or is very one-dimensional and I can often just taste tomato, or cumin, and not a lot else! Extras: my favourite bit! I like to eat chilli with brown rice, some kind of crunchy vegetable and this cashew ‘sour cream’. 125g onion (1 medium).

Free thinking for smart people. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Scientific models blanked out. Why do we have more trouble applying theories of government to government than theories of science to science? At the time, metal fatigue wasn't well understood, and their scientific model of structures did not account for it. It was an unfortunate way to find a failure in the model, but they did not simply throw in the towel, proclaim "We can't know anything! Flying is too dangerous! Most politicians blank out.
