Running Thoughts: RUNNING THE "BIG LAND" (October 2011)

http://thoughtfulrunner.blogspot.com/2013/07/running-big-land-october-2011.html

Tuesday, July 9, 2013. RUNNING THE "BIG LAND" (October 2011). N thru Quebec to Labrador. And it brought us to our destination - the Canadian Province of Newfoundland/Labrador and the Trapline Marathon and Half-Marathon. The race director and staff that we met were genuinely friendly, helpful and gracious hosts - and we felt like family. Excellent recap sweetie- a truly memorable race! July 10, 2013 at 10:27 PM. Running Thoughts: December 2010

http://thoughtfulrunner.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 19, 2010. RUNNING BRITISH COLUMBIAN CHARM - ON 10-10-10! Are there places you would gladly go back to? Places that left indelible impressions – for any number of reasons? They may not have been the most scenic, the most historic, the most exotic or even the best bargain – but visits there were charmed – and the locations beckon back. It certainly wasn’t the biggest – although with nearly 6,000 runners in the Half – it was a large race. But the combination of everything it had to offer an...

Thursday, July 11, 2013. CANYONLANDS UTAH: A BEGINNING. (State #2 - Mar 17, 2007). Together and for half-marathons. Partially compensated for by nice running caps and shirts) it was a good race - and certainly scenic in every respect. What thoughtful nugget did I take away from this race? Youre on a roll- fun to go back in time to where it all began. I say lets do all of Europe next! I love you : ). July 12, 2013 at 8:21 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jon and Shannon Tolman: August 2010

http://jonandshannontolman.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Jon and Shannon Tolman. Friday, August 20, 2010. Last night Jon was out washing the car so Parker and I decided to go sit on the porch and watch. Well Parker decided that was boring and wanted in on the action. It started off with innocently playing in the bark. Then he turned around and found all the lovely water just waiting to be played in. Bubbles and everything. Doesn't taste too bad either. Then his Dad decided that he wasn't quite wet enough so he sprayed him with the hose a bit. TIME IS A TREASURE.

Jon and Shannon Tolman. Sunday, April 18, 2010. Apparently The Only Thing To Talk About: Parker! Here are new pictures of the Little Man for Jon to see (and all of you I guess). And his newest trick from just the last few days is standing up to furniture. He does good, but is still just in the beginning stages. The next two are of him standing, their really short and he crashes at the end, but you get the idea. Wednesday, April 7, 2010. This video is also good becuase it shows him talking. He talks, ...

Jon and Shannon Tolman. Monday, April 18, 2011. Base Easter Egg Hunt. This is about 1/4 of the field. There were seriously a ton of people there and it was over in about 45 seconds. These two boys are my friend Afton's kids. We spend alot of time with them and Parker is pretty attached to the younger boy. Although, im so sure Jaxon is as fond of Parker as Parker is to Jaxon. ;). Tuesday, August 30, 2011. A visit from Pops. Right before fall semester started at USU, Dad came down to Logan to visit for a week. He was bringing down the boys and a car loaded with junk, trailing along a Bug. I tried to get Dad to fix some things on my car and at my apartment, but that was slow going. I think he was more interested in playing while he was in town. Monday, August 15, 2011. I CAN be creative.sometimes. I actually finished a sewing project! http://jnljlife.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

A very private pumpkin patch. Sunday, February 23, 2014. This weekend I spent hours working on linking the curriculum I teach to the Common Core. (Disclosure: I'm nowhere close to finished yet.)There has been much hate spewed around the internet about the Common Core. I wonder how many lay people have actually read. Through the actual core before forwarding, reposting, responding, remarking, etc. with increased vitriol about the core. I'm not sure if people are against the actual. Core, what they perceive.

http://kandirae.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 29, 2012. Once in awhile I need a break from Logan. On Saturday, I decided I needed a break from Logan, so I convinced Heather to head down to Salt Lake with me. We weren't quite sure what to do, but we figured SLC was bigger than Logan and we could come up with something to do. We then went out to the mall and for lunch at Applebees. Luckily, I had no money left, so I couldn't buy anything else. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Once in awhile I need a break from Logan.

Saturday, October 20, 2012. I haven't forgotten about you. It's been a while, hasn't it? It's been a busy year. Of course the majority of time goes to my children and my responsibilities at home, but I've also been quite busy unraveling sweaters, and making plarn bags (eight of them! For a client in Canada. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into blogging before long. But for now, I just thought I would stop in to let you know that I've opened a destash shop on Etsy. Is still the place to go. :). Thoughtful Rose | A Blog about Thoughtful Crafting

A Blog about Thoughtful Crafting. A byproduct of my yarn reclaiming business: scrap skeins. These little skeins come from the leftover bits of sweaters–cuffs or collars or damaged sections. I usually let those leftover bits pile up for a while, and once the pile reaches overwhelming proportions (i.e., when they overflow their designated bin) I unravel and wash a bunch of them at once. March 9, 2011 · 1:57 pm. The thoughtful rumblings for today…….Oddly enough, what some people take as just everyday normal behavior, others take as overt kindness. Now, in truth, this isn’t odd, this is happening because of the circumstances in someone’s life. These things can make your day just so much better. Opting out to take a minute to spare some kindness is easier, and infinitely better than being crabby. So why not go for it? Kindness is sooooo worth it! Why not take the time to use it?
