They aren’t teaching in any formal sense yet can provide opportunities to learn things that aren’t readily teachable like values and cultural norms. I first discovered how satisfying it is to help people learn working with students at the University of Salford where I began acquiring the skills and knowledge to help people learn better. My business experience began even earlier, helping out in a family business during school holidays. The SWOT is a widely recognised tool for helping people think. Here are some ideas and tools that demonstrate concepts behind what I do. An intolerance and fear of failure is just one example of something that exists in many people and acts as a barrier.
