A couple of weeks ago we were driving to town to do some shopping and Daddy saw a sign saying there was a special Fire Engine exhibition. There were lots of old fire engines there. My favourite was a very old fire engine pulled by horses and powered by steam. George had lots of fun and was amazed to see all the sheep running through the town… we did have to jump out of the way. Granny and Grandad came to visit us as well and everyone had lots of fun. It was a surprise where we going, so I was very happy when Daddy took me to a museum where they had lots of planes and helicopters, some old, some new. On our long drives through Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia or Malawi, we often see similar images flash by through our car windows:the life on the side of the road, the bustling markets with loud music blaring, the colourful clothesworn and the patterns on them, thewarm smell of burning grass or rubbish in the air, seeing.
