Bank Holiday Monday | thoughtsfromoutsidemybrain

https://thoughtsfromoutsidemybrain.wordpress.com/2015/05/04/bank-holiday-monday

The customer isn’t right, even when she is…. In recent years, I have Grown Up. I am interested in my garden. Today I went to the garden centre. I also went on Saturday. I am loving the planting, loving the small transformations to my garden. It’s got a long way to go till it’s how I want it. The garden centre was busy, clearly garden centres are a big draw on Bank Holidays in the Spring and Summer. Thank you for reading, see told you I would be back! Not blogged for a heck of a long time.

The customer isn’t right, even when she is…. When you have a child with autism each day can be a battle. From getting out of bed the right way…his way. To how he wants his cereal today or the toast cut. Often these things are done wrong and this results in a melt down. The next day I will try and do the same thing to avoid a melt down. The point of today’s blog is not only do I have to battle with my son, but also the health professionals. I am amazed that it was so hard to book a requested blood test.

This morning | thoughtsfromoutsidemybrain

https://thoughtsfromoutsidemybrain.wordpress.com/2013/05/22/this-morning

The customer isn’t right, even when she is…. It was photo day in nursery today. A few months ago I bought some t shirts for Olly. They have animals on the front. He loves animals. He also hates new clothes, clothes he is not familiar with. I put out the 3 t shirts and asked him to choose one from the lion, giraffe or elephant. He refused to look at them. So I selected one. And attempted to put it on him. And he had a huge melt down. “No top, no top” he yelled. I went and got a top he was familiar with.

The customer isn’t right, even when she is…. Archive September, 2013. The painfully slow process of getting SN help. Not posted a blog for a long time. Don’t know who will read it as I think one needs to post regularly to get followers. I’ve moved since I last posted a blog. That took most of my time. I need to come back and have a place to let out all my feelings about my son and his special needs. He is autistic and has global developmental delay. He is 4 and has just started full time school. Olly als...

The customer isn’t right, even when she is…. Archive May, 2015. Well if you didn’t vote, you’ve missed it for the General Election for 5 years. I do have quite strong opinions about voting. I believe you should. There will never be a party you will totally agree with, but you should vote for the party that you agree the most with. Apart from UKIP. You shouldn’t vote UKIP. I think voting should be compulsory. And I think the voting age should be lowered to 16. Not blogged for a heck of a long time. Blog a...

Jelly to a tree. Honestly, I don't have a clue either. This entry was posted on July 4, 2014, in Idle ramblings. Nce there was a lady. A quite unremarkable lady, one you wouldn’t really stop and ask how her day went. You would smile at her and say good morning and as she walked away she would slip from your mind. The lady had a husband who loved her dearly and two children she loved as though her very breathing depended on it. As he got bigger he would crawl on to her bed in the mornings and stop the lad...

Thoughts from NW Houston. Weighing in on the Michael Vick signing. View my complete profile. Friday, August 14, 2009. Weighing in on the Michael Vick signing. I have not really had anything that just captured my attention for a while, so not much to post. The signing of Michael Vick by the Philadelphia Eagles is not so much the focus of this blog as is the response to the signing. That leads into the second issue. As I noted in the beginning, I love dogs, but the the current backlash is so much hyper...

Monday, December 29, 2008. That's the carousel at Fisherman's Wharf in Frisco. I like this picture. It's probably one of the few that I've ever taken that tells a story. The stairs descending to the wharf. The people heading towards the carousel at the end. The kids already on it. The plot lines are endless! Well not truely endless but you can at least get three good stories out of it. . Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Friday, December 12, 2008. Gift Giving is in the Air. Thursday, December 11, 2008. Sunday, July 10, 2011. Guest Bedroom to Nursery Makover (and my debut as a grandmother :). I’ve been telling you how busy things are around here, but the little one is finally here! Both he and the nursery are finally ready to make their debut! You might remember when our daughter got married I helped her redo two guest rooms in their 1940’s bungalow. You can see that full post here. But two years later this room needed another makeover….it needed to become a nursery! We also found an old oak dresser to ...

Life Change Lessons - Pastor Brent

Tuesday, August 4, 2015. On August 1st, 2015 I began my new ministry at Union Church in Rockville, CT. As I sought God's leading as to where to start in our congregational teaching times for the next month or so, I kept thinking about the teachings of the Parables of Jesus and how they are more than stories but actually great glimpses into the character and attributes of God. Labels: Parables of Jesus. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went." Acts 8:4.

Thoughts from Pastor Steve

Thoughts from Pastor Steve. Reflections on being part of the Body of Christ. Friday, August 14, 2015. Paul and Cindy Talley at FBC. Paul and Cindy Talley will be at First Baptist Church in Waverly this weekend! I have mentioned to many people that Paul and Cindy have become good friends over the years, and I am excited to see them again. They arrived yesterday and Sandy and I had an opportunity to spend some time with them. And I'm very excited that you will have an opportunity to meet them, too. The peo...
