Well, I’ve been spending my lovely Thanksgiving break filling out college applications, and most college websites include “rigor” in their school’s pedigree. I looked up this word thinking that I misunderstood the meaning, but it only confirmed my previous concept. Rigorous means physically demanding, harsh, or strictly adhered to. Seriously, there's no hidden meaning. October 26, 2009. In paintball tournaments, there have been caps set on how fast one is allowed to shoot, even in semi-auto. After the years it has taken for the sport to grow, you’d think people would be encouraged to push the limits of what is possible.
