Life in the Sahara: I don't want to be me today

http://www.thoughtsfromthedesert-kelly.blogspot.com/2008/12/i-dont-want-to-be-me-today.html

Life in the Sahara. Sunday, December 7, 2008. I don't want to be me today. It does not come out well. I get so angry! I hate having to tell someone something everyday and they think that I am the one with the problem. Today was one of those days and I just left thinking why do I do this? Why do I care? Is what I am trying to accomplish really worth all this? At the end of the day, am I proud of who I was? Kellygirl, thank you so much for your comment on my post! It made me "laugh"). Who wants to play?

Life in the Sahara: Cleared for landing....

http://www.thoughtsfromthedesert-kelly.blogspot.com/2008/11/cleared-for-landing.html

Life in the Sahara. Saturday, November 22, 2008. I am feeling better! I've been cleared to go back to work. (And in true Kelly fashion, I signed up for extra shifts and will probably overdo it) -( way to have boundaries! Do look nice in the boots and cape - not the point) I can't do it all, can't fix everything, and there are some things that I cannot change and cannot control. (Even now - tears! I hate this lesson most of all. Hey glad to hear your back and running. November 23, 2008 at 3:10 AM.

Geez, Kellygirl.take care of yourself. February 22, 2009 at 5:20 PM. Ulcers are not a fun thing . hopefully they gave you something besides JUST pain pills. Did you get your apartment taken care of? February 23, 2009 at 2:31 AM. My hot water is still off! I might go colonial and boil some on the stove to take a bath in! For Love of Home.

Life in the Sahara: October 2008

http://www.thoughtsfromthedesert-kelly.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Life in the Sahara. Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Cried at work . I've been working like crazy and my other manager's have some ingrained behaviors that are detrimental to what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm firing everyone. If only it were that easy. I really need to keep praying for them. And sometimes that's the hardest thing to do when you really don't like them. I guess mean people need Jesus too. Thursday, October 23, 2008. The battle for middle earth begins. Friday, October 17, 2008. So I'm a hunter.

Life in the Sahara: It's been a while

http://www.thoughtsfromthedesert-kelly.blogspot.com/2009/02/its-been-while.html

Life in the Sahara. Tuesday, February 10, 2009. It's been a while. I know I haven't posted since last year (makes it seem like it's been a long time). I felt like I should n 't (for integrity reasons), post about work. I have come to realize that work is all I do and therefore have nothing to talk about b/c all I do is work. Seriously, you guys don't want to hear posts about my cat or how I did laundry. This is sad! So when I get a real life, I will post again. Promise. February 11, 2009 at 1:52 AM.

The Story. . .Continued: Dance Recital

http://thestorycontinued.blogspot.com/2011/06/dance-recital.html

The Story. . .Continued. June 12, 2011. Yesterday was one of the top 3 days of Hope's year: birthday, Christmas, and dance recital. It's amazing to see her, this beautiful girl who is often too afraid to simply walk through a room full of people, dance her heart out before an entire audience. This is my favorite. After Hope's performance at Mayfest. I worked backstage in the dressing rooms so wasn't exactly thinking about pictures, but we had to get a picture in our matching shirts. Dance Recital - Honor.

http://thestorycontinued.blogspot.com/2009/05/newest-cousin.html

The Story. . .Continued. May 19, 2009. On Sunday, May 17, 2009, the newest addition to The Cousins was born. Here are some pictures from the day. Uncle J getting "the boy", who is laughing hysterically at Little L in the front seat, ready to meet his new sister. Lil Sis is greeted by Big Bro, who was at first more interested in waving to the helicopter atop the adjacent building. After her first relaxing beauty treatment, she was sound asleep. The "before" and "after" cousins pictures.

The Story. . .Continued. February 27, 2009. During spring break, the kids will be going camping with their grandparents for a few days. They are very excited; so excited, in fact, that the boys decided they just couldn't wait. A few nights ago, they decided to have a pre-camping campout in the backyard. Wild and crazy guys! Plenty of snacks were involved, of course. Then they got my camera to document. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A sojourner by faith.

The Story. . .Continued. January 7, 2009. I didn’t get around to Christmas cards this season, but I want to say Happy New Year to everyone. Thank you to all who did send Christmas cards! It’s such a joy to receive them, and I will do my best to send them next year. The boys are currently training for their black belts in karate and hope to achieve their goal by this summer. The Story. . .Continued. July 21, 2009. The “Suffering” Princess. Well, one more yearly round of tests out of the way. Today H had 3 CT scans, one with contrast (translation, she had to have an IV), lab work, and a neurologist appointment. If you were reading last year about this time. You know that this day of the year, although one of our least favorite, is never without its humorous moments. For bringing me here.". As long as there are mirrors around. . . . http://thestorycontinued.blogspot.com/2008/04/swamp-thing-returns.html

The Story. . .Continued. April 27, 2008. The Swamp Thing Returns. Once again, H has an interesting description for the taste of food. The food this time: honey mustard dressing. The taste equivalent: nail polish. I have been known to ask for a waiter to take away my water because it tasted like dirt. I don't find her descriptions unusual at all, actually they are quit helpful. I don't agree with them, but they are helpful. April 28, 2008 at 1:51 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thoughts from the Crab-Apple Tree

Thoughts from the Crab-Apple Tree. Musings, thoughts, pictures. Friday, May 11, 2012. My Mum's brooch, one she often wore, reminds me of her life and love. As this young child I watched closely what my mother did, and learned many things from her. I loved to help cook, and clean the house. But I never felt what I did was good enough. Mum seemed to be cross all the time, or maybe that's what I thought. Whatever, she saved my life, and I can only thank her. To tell her things were not right. I had found he...

Well today i’m going to run down what I have in my bug out bag, what I have in my bag is my personal preference you can fill your bag how ever you would like to but this is just to give you some idea’s. It is noticeable that you carrying a firearm so the sheeple out there might freak out if you see you with it, but to me I am not worried about the sheeple. Thoughts from the Desert | Thoughts and musings from the desert

Thoughts from the Desert. Thoughts and musings from the desert. A Winter Moment in the Desert. January 1, 2015. Some time ago, I awoke to find a dusting of snow covering the saguaros of the Sonoran desert where I live. I arose quickly knowing this new fallen blanket from the clouds would soon be gone. I was transfixed by all that surrounded me. The desert was seemingly transformed overnight. Remaining open often requires us to be vulnerable. The outstretched arms of the saguaro in the snow was a symb...
