Thoughts from the Sead

Thoughts from the Sead. Sunday, December 12, 2010. You're Not in Kansas Anymore, Grandpa! Do you think he's sad to be missing the huge snow storm that's hitting Ohio today? Saturday, December 11, 2010. All I Want for Christmas Is. He had to down-size his possessions, which turned into a huge project! As my Aunt Jane said to me this week, "Can't wait to see Josie's face when she sees us pull the RV into the neighborhood and realizes her Grandpa is there! Thoughts from the Sead: Cat Lrning (In Honor of National Day on Writing)

http://thoughtsfromthesead.blogspot.com/2010/10/cat-lrning-in-honor-of-national-day-on.html

Thoughts from the Sead. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Cat Lrning (In Honor of National Day on Writing). I was reminded that today is National Day on Writing and my good Mid-Western German-Catholic Work Ethic that I was raised to value won't allow me to slumber tonight unless I post. When cats are born there eyes are clossed. Cats are very smart. They are very good hiders. The mom cats have babys. The dad cats take cear of them. The dogs chashs the cats. I love cats. Dogs are smart just like cat. So impres...

Thoughts from the Sead: January 2009

http://thoughtsfromthesead.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Thoughts from the Sead. Saturday, January 31, 2009. I've been neglecting my blog lately.mostly due to the fact that I just haven't felt like thinking or writing. I'm finally beginning to feel a bit better and I have a couple of days to myself with no houseguests and no schedule to follow. After having houseguests for 29 nights in a row, I'm feeling a huge sense of relief to know that I have a few days to simply BE in my own space. I love Mrs. Grewal. I hope she has a Mr. Grewal.". While watching the inau...

Thoughts from the Sead. Saturday, March 20, 2010. How does Life get so busy? I can be a United States of American, can't I? Walking down the hall at school, past the kindergarten classrooms: "Hmmm.(with a wrinkled up nose).smells like kindergarteners down here." What does a kindergartener smell like? First words on Christmas Morning after spying gifts under the tree: "Mom! She told me I was on Santa's Naughty List, but I can tell that Santa knows more than Myriam.". One day when I had Yard Duty at mornin...

Thoughts from the Sead. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Treasures From My Life With a Six Year Old. I am 6.". While we try to teach our children all about life,. Our children teach us what life is all about.". Monday, May 18, 2009. Turning six is a very big deal to Josie. She told me this afternoon that she'll be a lot taller tomorrow and she insisted that she weigh and measure herself so that she could prove that turning six would indeed result in some physical changes. I just think that'll work better.". View m...

Thoughts from the Sead: December 2008

http://thoughtsfromthesead.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Thoughts from the Sead. Thursday, December 25, 2008. Sleep Tight, Don't Let the Bedbugs Bite. You have been and always will be SO loved by everyone who knew you. Saying goodbye to you is not an easy thing to do but imagining you in a peaceful place, playing cards with Grandpa, gossiping over coffee with Lilly Albers, and laughing your hearty laugh brings a smile to my face. You have lived an amazingly long and extraordinary life, Grandma. Some of my favorite memories are the times when I got to spend vac...

What's Up With Chuck?

http://whatsupwithchucks.blogspot.com/2010/12/right-in-middle-of-one-of-many-lobbys.html

What's Up With Chuck? Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Right in the middle of one of the many lobbys they have a water display with music that reminds you of Las Vegas. This is just the start of many displays that Opryland has inside and outside of their hotel. December 14, 2010 at 7:19 AM. Looking forward to seeing more of your photos from your trip! December 15, 2010 at 6:41 PM. I cant believe how nice it looks after all the flooding earlier in the spring. They sure bounced back fast! Thoughts from the Sead.

http://whatsupwithchucks.blogspot.com/2010/12/drove-all-day-to-meteor-crator.html

What's Up With Chuck? Saturday, December 11, 2010. Drove all day to Meteor Crator campgrounds near Flagstaff Arizona to be within driving distance to the Grand Canyon the next day. A lot of windshield time and much gas. Pretty drive, but an awful lot of the same desert, and taking forever to get to the next mountain off in the distance. By now we had driven 1398 miles from Columbus, and it was finally starting to look like we where "Out West". December 26, 2010 at 11:24 PM. Thoughts from the Sead.

What's Up With Chuck?

http://whatsupwithchucks.blogspot.com/2010/12/amarillo-texas-where-most-interesting.html

What's Up With Chuck? Friday, December 10, 2010. Amarillo Texas, where the most interesting part of the day seemed to be watching old route 66 run right next to New Rt 40. I had hoped to drive on old 66 for much of the way, but it is largly gone. We stopped at the Rt 66 Museum at 4:55PM Texas time, but they closed the museum at 5PM, so we just walked around the outside instead. The only regret Jerry and I had was that the saloon was also closed. December 26, 2010 at 11:28 PM. Thoughts from the Sead.

What's Up With Chuck?

http://whatsupwithchucks.blogspot.com/2010/12/next-stop-on-trip-was-at-little-rock.html

What's Up With Chuck? Thursday, December 9, 2010. Next stop on the trip was at Little Rock Ark, to visit the Clintton Library. We're not sure how it compares to other Presidential Libraries, but this one is quite extensive and detailed. It's hard to believe that one man can participate in so much activity in such a short time. Then again, not all of them do. I know no one wants to hear my comments beyond that, so I won't say more. http://whatsupwithchucks.blogspot.com/2010/12/on-wed-8th-of-dec-we-arrived-at.html

What's Up With Chuck? Wednesday, December 8, 2010. The 2nd floor is "Off Limits" to tourist, but the rest of the grounds are open to the public, and the bus loads of us coming and going kept the place hopping, mostly behind the "Ropes" but in full view of how Elvis lived. If I remember right, this is a 20 foot living room couch. Elvis's pool room, which was kinda like my "Man Cave", except he never drank beer. He did stock it for his friends though. What's Up With Chuck? Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Graceland has it's own campground right across the street from the Mansion, actually almost right next to the Elvis jet plane display. Nothing fancy, but good clean facilities and walking distance for everything you came to see. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thoughts from the Sead. View my complete profile. Watermark template. http://whatsupwithchucks.blogspot.com/2010/12/this-guy-my-brother-in-law-jerry-was.html

What's Up With Chuck? Thursday, December 9, 2010. This guy, My brother-in-law Jerry, was a major contributer to the entire trip. He just had to pay for everything every time we stopped. He also had to draw crowds of people who wanted to bug him about the Buckeyes every time we stopped. I think people where calling ahead warning each other about this "Big Buckeye" that was on his way. December 26, 2010 at 11:41 PM. Love these two companions of yours, Dad! She is so lucky to have such amazing memories, spe...

Random Thoughts From The Road Less Traveled. December 13, 2015. A painting I did for an auction benefiting the Salvation Army. The Dragon At 2 AM. August 27, 2015. That storm of my thoughts is raging tonight. The only thing that gets me through it is knowing that it has to end. I know this, because it’s not my first storm. So I ride out the wind and the waves the best I can and wait for the sun to rise with its promise of a new day where, hopefully, I will believe in myself again and find the will to kee...

from the rock | …thoughts and stories to inspire

8230;thoughts and stories to inspire. A story i never get tired of telling. I really wanted to play basketball. So, in my mature 12 year old brain popped the thought “I have seen my parents drive this van hundreds of times I’m sure I can figure out how to back it down the driveway.” Despite my brothers trying to convince me otherwise I decided to give it a try. I will never forget this act of forgiveness and the undeserved grace my dad showed me that day. There is no sin too great for God to forgive....

Thoughts from a Sales Guy from the Farm

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Just got back from a vacation with the family. While I can't say there wasn't fighting (between kids and even between my wife and I) it was a great time! Monday, July 6, 2015. Is it a lost skill? Is it the holy grail? I think it is one of the secrets of life. I take it back to the golden rule - treat others as you want to be treated. Is that too hard? Are we too lazy to do it? Or do we just not care? Think what a great world this would be if we just followed this simple rule?

Thoughts from the Sin Bin. Saturday, May 1, 2010. Hammers Score 5 Goals in third to Overcome 4-1 Deficit. Lake Placid, NY. I’m not even sure where to begin. When I think of last night’s game, the only thing that is popping into my head is “HOLY SHIT.”. Hammers – 1. Poison – 1. Next, Hammers defenseman and resident bone-cracker, Joe Valeriotte, slid a crisp pass to my tape through the neutral zone and I quickly scurried into the zone and deposited my second goal of the game to knot it all up at four apiec...
