http://homespunheadlines.blogspot.com/2004_11_01_archive.html
Everyday events with a touch of insight and humor. Tuesday, November 30, 2004. The first phone call of the day usually sets the tone. When the phone rang early in the morning and informed me my daughter, who is several states away, would be undergoing surgery, I could tell it was not going to be a highly productive days. She was in the hospital but several of her friends, coaches, and teammates were with her. Posted by Ralph at 4:01 PM. Where was all the free time Miss Brannon had promised? Why hadn’t I ...

Sliding through life: May 2006
http://slidingthroughlife.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Today I made the apple pie and delivered it, along with a half gallon of French Vanilla ice cream, to my neighbor's house. I sure hope it turned out okay. They were getting ready to dig in when I left. Last time I made my own crust but this time it was 'brought on.' Do you know what "brought on" means? She gave me the nickname of Bud (short for Rosebud she said) and she still calls me that. We'll have to get together and do lunch soon. There are 5 of us from that same office ...

Homespun Headlines: June 2005
http://homespunheadlines.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Everyday events with a touch of insight and humor. Thursday, June 30, 2005. I was getting a little concerned. Pedaling the bike up the hill, my toes started to tingle. That tingling sensation was increasing and spreading through my feet and to the bottom half of my calves. Trying to determine what was causing it, the conclusion had to be Espresso Love. That made me contemplate the events leading up the tingling sensation. No worries with Espresso Love. Don’t OD on this. Just wish it tasted better. Severa...

Sliding through life: October 2005
http://slidingthroughlife.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 31, 2005. I thought I'd share a joke today:. The newly-married husband came home from the office to find his young wife in floods of tears. "Darling, whatever is the matter? Sweetheart," she sobbed, "the most terrible thing has happened! I cooked my very first Beef Bourguignon for you, and I got it out of the oven to season it, and the phone rang. When I came back from answering the phone," she sobbed again, "I found that the cat had eaten it! Posted by Rachel at 6:40 AM. This past week I...

http://homespunheadlines.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html
Everyday events with a touch of insight and humor. Friday, December 31, 2004. My father in law is living with us. He went to the doctor today and we were told he is delicate. I admit I am not the sharpest tack in the box. I will also admit I am not the most political correct person in the world. But, what does delicate mean? The doctor said it meant he could go at any time. Posted by Ralph at 9:30 AM. Tuesday, December 28, 2004. Having my wife enjoy her new school and teaching position. Having two great ...

Homespun Headlines: A Sunday Truth
http://homespunheadlines.blogspot.com/2013/08/a-sunday-truth.html
Everyday events with a touch of insight and humor. Saturday, August 10, 2013. A good friend of mine posted this recently. A lot of truth in a few short paragraphs. Jesus did not walk the earth for fame and glory, he walked the earth for understanding and forgiveness and trials! Do not be apart of something that gives you false hope! Peace be with you all for God is allowing His shepherds knowledge, and He is now giving out warning across the lands! Posted by Ralph at 7:51 PM. I read this and ponder it.

Homespun Headlines: Hide and Seek
http://homespunheadlines.blogspot.com/2013/05/hide-and-seek.html
Everyday events with a touch of insight and humor. Wednesday, May 01, 2013. Our granddaughter, Taylor, who is two, loves coming over and playing hide and seek. While she is not very good at it, I can never find her. Perhaps you can spot her in this picture? Posted by Ralph at 2:21 PM. This is an absolutely wonderful post! Taylor, Taylor, where is Taylor? And she cannot already be two. Funny thing is, thats probably good enough to fool Grandpa.0. How long did she have to wait? Nope, dont see a thing.
