Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Good News for the Gospel. Our word "Gospel" comes from the. Which means "good tidings." This was a direct translation (in it's day) for the Gree. Naturally, the vast majority of English Bibles translate. But what does euangelion. Does it really do the concept of euangelion. Justice to simply translate it literally as good news. The reason why I bring this up is because recent scholarship (the last few decades) has been revealing that there is a depth of meaning behind euangelion.

Instead of pretty pots of flowers on my patio that die when I forget to water them (story of last summer) I have pretty pots of produce! I have 2 types of tomato plants, cucumbers, and lettuce growing in pots. I have been SO excited to watch them grow from seeds in a pile of dirt to sprouts, to plants! This is after almost 2 weeks of anxiously waiting for ANYTHING to grow in the dirt!
