Thoughts on Our Education: August 2010

http://thoughtsonoureducation.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Thoughts on Our Education. A view on education from a young educator. Sunday, August 29, 2010. Long Time no Post. Well, I must say that I am not having a lot of success at this blog thing so far. I started last year with the hope of documenting some of my learning and experiences as a young educator. I didn't expect myself to be so busy that I completely forgot about it. Speaking of this school year, I only have four classes. Two of my periods have been allocated to help with administrative duties&#4...

Thoughts on Our Education. A view on education from a young educator. Friday, August 15, 2008. Could We Be More Clear? Many times I have wondered why students have a propensity to ignore directions. Even after writing directions on the board, stating them verbally, and including the directions on their classwork, the question is still asked, "What am I suppose to do? Or even, "I did not know about that! Recently, we had class registration. The process was supposed to be simple. Often, as educators, we fe...

Thoughts on Our Education. A view on education from a young educator. Sunday, July 26, 2009. Concerns of Prep Time for the Upcomming School Year. When I was first employed by my current school district, I was very pleased by the block schedule and the amount of preparation time I had every day. I was given one 90 minute period every day. I thought it was a paradise to have and hour-and-a-half every day to prepare materials, grade papers, meet with parents, and complete administrative tasks. I know that I...

Thoughts on Our Education. A view on education from a young educator. Sunday, September 20, 2009. Teenagers Still Lookup to Us Despite what They Say. However, the purpose of this post was not to comment about Robotics. When we had our first meetings with the students the past two weeks I have had an interesting observation about some of the students. When put in situations of leadership, they behave almost exactly like their adult counterparts. Posted by Dustin Cornelius. Links to this post.

Thoughts on Our Education. A view on education from a young educator. Sunday, November 16, 2008. Balancing the Administrative with the Teaching. I have never had to fill out so many forms, send so many emails, call so many people, go to so many meetings, and document so many things. Honestly, it is easier for me to do my taxes than it is to keep on top of all the paper work. Now, before any of you think that I am throwing in the towel- think again. I am glad to be a teacher. I believe that if we are goin...

Cornelius Chronicles: August 2014

http://audreycornelius.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 31, 2014. First Week of School. School started this week, and boy was it ever an adventurous first week back to class. Rebekah is now in the 3rd grade and Loyd is a very grown-up 1st grader. We found out our teachers, practiced walking to our classes, and packed our backpacks last Friday. We were ready to go on Monday morning. The first day went well and without incident. Rebekah, 1st day of 3rd Grade. Loyd on the 1st day of 1st Grade. I guess it was just one of those kinds of weeks. :).

Cornelius Chronicles: Little Kids Moments

http://audreycornelius.blogspot.com/2015/05/little-kids-moments.html

Sunday, May 17, 2015. Here's our beautiful bouncing baby boy finally all bounced out. No worries though, if he should happen to startle awake he happily bounces himself back to sleep within a few seconds. :D. You know you have too many babies around the house when the UPS man drops off your diaper order and the stack is taller than your toddler. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, September 14, 2014. I've been wanting a festive Halloween doily for several years now. I've just finally gotten around to it on my never ending to-do list and think it turned out pretty darn cute. Here's my finished doily for all my granny friends who appreciate such silly things. :). Look Out, She's 2! Her favorite things to say recently are:. Said in a drawn out sing-song voice, she loves to volunteer for whatever is being offered). Maeve showing off her new thumb's up trick. Sunday, July 13, 2014. A picture of Mommy (me) by Xavier, drawn June 2014. A signed picture titled, "The Savior," by Xavier. It's a picture of Jesus. Xavier says you can tell because he is so glowing and bright, drawn June 2014. Xavier has picked up on a love for drawing. It's fun to see how many pictures he can color yellow (his hands-down favorite color) and how happily he draws all of his subjects. I love my kids' art. :). While watching a Peg Plus Cat. Cornelius Chronicles: March 2015

http://audreycornelius.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 22, 2015. We had a super fun Spring Break this last week. We enjoyed a trip to Space Center, a trip for me to my sister Jenny's wedding in Arizona, exploring the local nature park, celebrating St. Patrick's Day with fun friends and lots of yummy corned beef, and getting a new clothes washing machine! Man, I'm exhausted from all this taking a break stuff. I hope we're rested up enough to start back to school on Monday morning. :D. Xavier and Owen, a.k.a. Bat Brothers! It says: "You're the be...

Sunday, December 21, 2014. So Many Pictures, So Little Time. It has been a busy week of holiday parties, fun library activities, and cute baby pictures. Enjoy! Xavier showing off his future astronaut awesomeness at the library. :). You try getting a picture of four very excited children who are busy "building" (really eating) candy houses (they used ghram crackers instead of gingerbread) at the library. They had lots of fun and we had frosting everywhere on everything! And last, but not least, a great pi...

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Funny Things The Kids Said About Baby Owen. As soon as we arrived home from the hospital on Sunday night, with a little pink Baby Sign Language book in hand. Ok Owen, I have my book so I can understand what you are saying. On Monday, over the walkie-talkie because Loyd was playing with his friends down the street. Mom, where's Owen? In my bedroom in the pack n' play. Oh, can he come out and play basketball with the guys? No, he better stay here and finish his nap. :). This is w...

Cornelius Chronicles: January 2015

http://audreycornelius.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 25, 2015. Too much lately. :) Xavier's favorite moment was when he saw a cow pick its nose with its tongue. Of course all three of us had to give it a try and see if we could do it too. Sadly, our tongues just aren't as cool as a cow's. :). I just had to show off how cute Maeve looks in her cute skirt made by Grandma P. Maeve loves the little poof tale on the poodle applique. My little girl loves to dress up. Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Monday, January 12, 2015. I just couldn't resist!
