Monday, November 7, 2011. MARK TWAIN’S AUTOBIOGRAPHY VOLUME 1 OF 2 VOLUMES. When I learned that 2011 would bring the publication of Mark Twain’s autobiography, I dashed to my local library, anxious to obtain a copy. According to Twain’s explicit instructions, the two volumes were not to be published for a hundred years following his death—this year, 2011 marked that century’s waiting period. I devoured Volume 1 in record time and am now awaiting the second. Twain has long been my favorite author, bar none.
