CHANGING THREADS
http://changingthreads.blogspot.com/2009/06/its-been-such-long-time-since-i-posted.html
My diary of how, against the odds, I try and produce some textile art. Thursday, June 11, 2009. It's been such a long time since I posted everyone's probably gone away and is looking elsewhere. Pushed into writing something today as we had Maggie Grey. Just at the moment I have some rather damp felt drying ready to start stitching into. I'll let you know if it works/how it works in the next few days. Apart from that, I took part in Oxfordshire Art Weeks. June 11, 2009 at 2:22 PM. Blogs I look at regularly.

CHANGING THREADS: December 2008
http://changingthreads.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
My diary of how, against the odds, I try and produce some textile art. Wednesday, December 3, 2008. I found an old cream wool blanket the other day that my mother in law had given me. Also found in a drawer some acid dyes that I bought last year at Ally Pally and have never used, so set myself up for a morning of dyeing. It was so easy! But what lovely, heathery colours came out (well, not the turquoise obviously! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Members of the Embroiderers Guild Webring. Carol - Textile Tales.

My diary of how, against the odds, I try and produce some textile art. Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Which is just what I've done with the white on white quilties for Lenna Andrews' swap. Unfortunately because they're white they don't photograph too well, but I've done my best to show you the wonderful stitching and textures in them - only two of the four because the photos just don't come out. I signed up yesterday to do D ale Rollerson's. Sunday, May 11, 2008. However, yesterday was my big day - sold FOUR m...

CHANGING THREADS: February 2008
http://changingthreads.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
My diary of how, against the odds, I try and produce some textile art. Saturday, February 23, 2008. Some time ago I spent a while drawing architectural features and loved some of the rococo shapes I found there. I went back through my sketchbook afterwards and painted over with some koh i noor paints, just choosing the colours I like. This time I put it on black felt and did some machine couching and hand stitching around and I'm quite pleased with the finished effect. Here's a close up. Also managed a f...

CHANGING THREADS: July 2008
http://changingthreads.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
My diary of how, against the odds, I try and produce some textile art. Friday, July 11, 2008. Very very busy at the moment but had another 'high' yesterday. Remember the commission I got as a result of Oxfordshire Art Weeks? I really didn't know what Jane wanted, her tastes, etc, all I had was a colour scheme. So I produced five pieces for her to look at and - guess what - she wanted three of them! I was also really thrilled to be invited to join a group exhibiting at the West Ox Arts group in spring 201...

CHANGING THREADS: November 2008
http://changingthreads.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
My diary of how, against the odds, I try and produce some textile art. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Such a long time since I looked at a blog let alone wrote something on mine! Hopefully the worst is over, work wise, and I can concentrate on being more creative for (at least) the rest of the year. I've been invited to take part in Oxfordshire Arts Week again (did I say? Which is more manageable, and hopefully a lot less tiring. Monday, November 10, 2008. Am having problems these days finding time for an...

My diary of how, against the odds, I try and produce some textile art. Friday, January 16, 2009. Thanks Carol-Ann for your comments; glad it's not just me worrying about the travelling books. Actually I'm really looking forward to them getting started, it's going to be great fun seeing how they're doing! I've been playing with the idea for some time of applying to do. Love the rusted photos, a great find. January 21, 2009 at 1:07 PM. March 25, 2009 at 9:06 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Enthusai...
