What is a cryptoquote? A cryptoquote is a coded (encrypted) quote. A cryptogram is a coded message. A cryptoquiz is a coded group of related items. All 3 have a very simple coding (encryption) method. Each and every occurrence of a particular letter is substituted with a different letter of the alphabet. For example: "that" might be encoded as "zqtz". The key (cipher) to the code is used to both encode and decode. Whether it's a cryptoquote, cryptogram or cryptoquiz, all you see is the encoded message.
