Janet's imagery is in the tradition of folk art but also abstract art, the pieces have a simple charm Lets have a look and see what you think. If you want to see more she has a great Pinterest board. Threads of a story: Book making.

http://threads-of-a-story.blogspot.com/2014/05/book-making.html

Threads of a story. Wednesday, 28 May 2014. Hi again, yes I'm still here and I know I said that I would try and post once a week and it's May now. All I can do is say sorry once again and thank those of you who are still visiting my blog. I have a big love of book making so I thought that you might like to take a peek at the work of Adele. She has been a big inspiration to me for years. Fantastic aren't they, sculptural, inventive and stretching the bounderies of what it means to be a book.

Sandie Craig Organic Artist. Recycling and money……. This entry was posted on August 4, 2012, in ponderings. National zero waste week. Yesterday while we were rock pooling in Whitley Bay with my Grandson, my daughter asked me ‘….if money were no object – would you still buy all your clothes and materials from the Charity Shops, pick up found objects, use Freecycle. And adopt animals from Rescue Homes……’. Didn’t take even a heartbeat for me to say yes! It is National Zero Waste Week. Daily I pick up bloody...

Sandie Craig Organic Artist. Smells like Autumn……………. This entry was posted on October 9, 2012, in life, laughter, friends and family. I love Autumn – what was it George Eliot said about Autumn –. My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive Autumns’. Smells are the leaves when the birds turn them over to look for insects buried beneath – loamy and pungent – like fungi……. In front of the Aga – even the steaming manure pile! But most of all the wood...

All the family groups took their own little picnic, the weather stayed fine and the kids had a great time. All ages from. Sandie Craig Organic Artist. This entry was posted on July 24, 2012, in ponderings. I’ve just been reading a great little book. Called Surfaces and Textures by Polly O’Neil with some fabulous and unusual. Photographs of urban and rural textures and have decided that this is my new project. For each 20 photos I take I will save one perhaps – can’t seem to find classes near enough to travel to – :0(. Sandie Craig Organic Artist. Why I love wool………. This entry was posted on August 31, 2012, in wooly matters. Firstly, I am acutely aware that most of this Blog will read to my pals as if I’m teaching them to suck eggs – it will appear to many as pretentious and give an inflated sense of my limited knowledge – shamelessly gleaned from Internet sources as I don’t keep sheep myself – yet……to these generous and lovely people I apologise in advance – xx. Sandie Craig Organic Artist. Posted in June 2012.
