threads of the untidy event

Threads of the untidy event. Saturday, April 19, 2014. We took an overnight train to Agra – economy 2. Sleeper, which means you get three tiers of bunks, and the aisles are busy with food and drink sellers going up and down, and cries of “pani water pani water”, “chai chai chaieeee”, “samosa samosa samosa”. We snatched a few winks of sleep in the gently rocking carriage, and arrived early in the morning to the bustling station. So yeah, keep being careful with your passports, ok? Thursday, April 17, 2014.

threads of the untidy event: August 2012

http://www.threadsoftheuntidyevent.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Threads of the untidy event. Thursday, August 9, 2012. I kind of wish I'd posted a bit more during prac. I feel like there was a lot more I could have said about it. I guess though there's always that trouble of what to say and what to leave out for confidentiality's sake. Oh well, it's over now anyhow! It was super interesting having a prac in Mental Health. I don't reckon I'd want to work in it though. or maybe not just that. Studiousness or lack thereof. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). You have to know ho...

threads of the untidy event: October 2012

http://www.threadsoftheuntidyevent.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Threads of the untidy event. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Last week (ok, so this is a little out of date now) I went on a trip to the snow with most of my family. It was a flippin' brilliant time. We drove to Mt Beauty, where we were staying, on the Monday, craning our necks for glimpses of snowy mountains as we got closer. Was it really true? Could Australian-[small]sized mountains really grow enough snow to go skiing on? The freshly powdered snow beckoned. Finally, we were off. I snow-ploughed my way d...

Threads of the untidy event. Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Q: What did the cannibal order for take-away? In our house we always comment on how the conversation around the dinner table of an evening invariably turns to something mildly or majorly gross. Bodily functions, more bodily functions, off stuff - squashed stuff - dead stuff. I can't even think what else, but it happens. HOW DOES IT HAPPEN? And then last night, I was at a friend's house for dinner and you know what? Grossness invades once again!

threads of the untidy event: Eat Duck Don't Die

http://www.threadsoftheuntidyevent.blogspot.com/2014/02/eat-duck-dont-die.html

Threads of the untidy event. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Eat Duck Don't Die. We flew into Ho Chi Minh City (which most people still seem to call Saigon - more romantic, no? Just yesterday arvo - how awesomely squiggly is the Mekong just below? I don't think this is going to be a particularly coherent or informative post, but better than nothing, eh? Especially since I haven't posted anything in almost a year. whoa fourth year Honours was a nasty brain-sucking beast! Oh and more bikes. Fatty but delicious...

Threads of the Pattern | Bringing all the threads of life into one perfect pattern!

Threads of the Pattern. On: January 23, 2014. Three words that can cause joy for parents and nervousness, excitement and fear in childrenand me. All of those emotions and more for me. After being out of school for (cough)16(cough) years, I am going back. Or going -period-, I guess, since I’ve never been to college. I’m sure some of you are shaking your head in puzzlement. I have kids! Also I can obviously put words together to make semi coherent sentences, right? Have you ever seen Overboard? Anyway, my ...

Threads of This Life

Threads of This Life. A meandering of thoughts and opinions in the day and life of Renita Herrmann. Traveling the gamut from food to flying, health to disease, gratitude to anger. Thursday, January 23, 2014. Just one challenge, and it's for the veterans I see especially. In fact the recipes started as that, but I've had feedback from others that it's been helpful. Back to the challenge. I read a note from a friend that shared this website: http:/ 100happydays.com/. Thursday, January 9, 2014. This is a fu...

Threads of Time

Threads of Time is the name for Jane Pasquill's art studio. The Textile Wall Hangings are a unique way to present the image of reality portraying the primary energy patterning of geometric form. The texture and colour of the fabrics used in the wall hangings have a great synergy and maximize the impact of the geometry. The 'SRI YANTRA' is a recognisable symbolic Mandala regularly used in Jane's artwork. New Wall Hangings - A new generation of textile Sri Yantras measuring 30" sq. Contact Jane Pasquill to...
