ART JOURNEY: A Spring Morning
http://artjourney-penny.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-spring-morning.html
Friday, May 8, 2015. As each season arrives I think to myself 'this is my favorite time of the year'. Then as the season goes on I get tired of the snow or the heat or the whatever. I guess I just love the changes. Here I am on a spring morning. The picture above was taken from my kitchen window - looking out at the tops of the trees in their vivid bright green foliage. Starting out on my walk - I stop at the end of our driveway to savor the irises and flame azaleas all in full bloom. Nice pics. I li...

ART JOURNEY: July 2014
http://artjourney-penny.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. When I began preparing this doll figure, I wanted to convey my nostalgic feelings for that old-fashioned thing called 'letter writing'. The kind that used pen and ink, script or print by the writer's own hand - written, folded, sealed into an addressed envelope and sent on its way - with the writer hoping that it would arrive at its destination safely. Thank you Emily for all of the words you laid down on paper - they are lovely. Friday, July 25, 2014. This spider is looking for a ...

http://artjourney-penny.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 28, 2014. And then there are the craft shops that have those bins in the back where they sell 'stuff' for $1. Okay - pretty hard to walk past that. Who in the world needs a huge bundle of pom-poms? Certainly not me - but the colors were fun, the puffy balls fun to touch and well. Never a knitter nor a crocheter will I be (due to the fact that I lack the dexterity of a walrus) but does that mean I don't have yarn in my stash? What can I say? Monday, November 24, 2014. To have her own nest...

Interpret This!: What a challenge--jdemilo
http://photothreads.blogspot.com/2011/01/what-challenge-jdemilo.html
Sunday, January 30, 2011. What a challenge- jdemilo. Is where you can see the monthly efforts. I was also hoping in this challenge to develop my unique voice in surface design style and I think that I did that. The style is best portrayed in Garden of Eden. The style includes using my own fabric and handwork. There is nothing more exciting than to look at a quilt and knowing that it was just plain white fabric before you started! Here is Garden of Eden as it was shown at the Reveal. This is a great piece...

Friday, August 7, 2015. Of "Moonie Bean Folkart is the winner of the first 'Whisper" doll.]. This summer brings yet another small pond to the original pond outside my studio window. Having a wetlands ecologist in the family is quite nice. Originally there was one pond where the frogs sat sunning themselves.
