Safe Haven for Four. After putting the girls to bed, Rivers, Jackson, and I settled in to read a book and the next chapter in The Jesus Storybook Bible. God, You are awesome! You know the intimate details of all of our lives, from Biblical times to today. Thank you for Your Holy Word and how it is ".living and active." (Hebrews 4:12). With Jackson in bed, Rivers and I went into her room to read her devotion from Jesus Calling: 365 Devotions For Kids. He knows every detail! Little Brother, Big Sister.

Safe Haven for Four. Emily came home on Thursday, January 20th. We were so thrilled to get our family TOGETHER! It was difficult having Katherine home and Emily in the hospital and keeping up with a pumping schedule for the girls on top of that! 17 days in the hospital is just one day shy of Jackson's stay in 2007, so we feel very blessed having twins with such a short stay and no real complications to speak of. Safe Haven for Four. Crazy picture, I know! Jackson actually took this of me feeding the twins. It's not as hard as I imagined it would be. I just sit cross-legged on the couch with Boppy pillows over both of my knees and the girls seated on them. It has worked out great! Of course, what's a good bottle without a good burp? A request of mine for my baby shower from both my Mom and mother-in-law. The girls spend a lot of their day in their swings and sleep in them at night to help with their reflux.

Safe Haven for Four. March 24, 2012.I took Rivers to get her ears pierced this past Saturday. It has been months in the making since Rivers knew that she could get her ears pierced any time after her 6th birthday. At first, she adamently said that she did not want her ears pierced. Then, at six-and-a-half, she changed her mind. Two sweet little pearls later, here she is! She was very brave, and Connilee at Jewelry Warehouse was so patient and kind to her. They really made it special! Jackson at 3 months.

Safe Haven for Four. October is always one of my favorite months out of this year, and this one was no exception. With the weather turning cooler, we spent many days outside having picnic lunches and playing on the driveway or in the backyard. Then, there's all of our favorite activities to look forward to: Country Adventures, the fair, and the Fall Festival at church. One very special activity that was a highlight of this month was meeting my cousin, Jenny, and her boys, Ryan and Miles, at the Greenville.
