Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Let's Get Caught Up! We started our Carter homeschool with a very nice teacher-student ratio. I began teaching Isaiah (now 6). He is in Kindergarten. This has been a very exciting experience so far. Lots of learning going on for all of us, including the younger two brothers. Elijah is continuing to go to Sycamore Tree Preschool two days a week. Last Sunday morning Sara, Ryk, and I packed up our stuff and left my mom's in Auburn, Wa at 3am to travel to Medical Lake, Wa to watch one of our favorite athletes compete. the amazing Missy Lind in the Wunderwoman Sprint Triathlon. She finished close to the top overall amongst hundreds of competitors. She is an inspiration to our whole family and we our very proud of the mighty lil' thing! Sara, Ethan and Ryker X.

The ceremony was beautiful, as well as the bride and the weather making it a truly great weekend. We met so many wonderful people and spent some quality time with Dawn and Pat Kerrigan. This summer has been action packed for our family as we have been to Seattle/Auburn three. going on four times, Vancouver, BC for a fantastic concert by Clutch, Greece, to a fantastic cabin/camping experience near Lake Roosevelt on the Spokane River (thanks Mercers) and more swim lessons than I care to count. Sunday, June 21, 2015. Keeping My Summer Sane! This year, I vowed to keep an organized and scheduled summer. This is what I say EVERY year and it never gets done. Except, this year, it actually did get done! I was proactive and created chore charts, daily responsibility charts, bought workbooks for the kids and created a Consequence jar, a Get Along jar, and a Rewards jar. The boys daily responsibility/chore chart is a blank template I pulled from this. Mean their good, yellow. Is a warning and red.
